Who in the "F" decided that Guatemala should have a world round instead of the United States of America? With qualified and proven trials venues in America that have had incredibly positive reponse from the riders, someone decided that Guatemala should have a world round. That's about as smart as Jamaica holding a winter olympics. Hey, at least Jamaica has a bobsled team. Somebody tell me who or what trials is happening in Guatemala. What the hell do you think is going to happen when I get kicked out of a third world county venue? I'll never see America again... Oh wait, I get it now, nevermind. Now you're going to tell me that Ahlers headed the committe to have …

Everybody seems to second guessing the weather for this weekend at Hawkstone. Surely the worse the weather the better for the British lads, especially Dougie. If it P****S down all day Sunday, my money would be on Dougie over Bou. The same goes for all the Brit riders over Euro opposition. Not good for the event though, spectators etc!

Like everybody else I have been watching the Indoor Championship and also the Team Reports. - What a lot of you no what ! - Lets face it - Honda who own Montesa, made the decision to go with 4 strokes. - It was their choice to do that. - They can call it what they they want - a brave new move or whatever. - The fact remains that when you enter any competition you read the regulations and enter your best. While I have the greatest respect for Dougie Lampkin, I think it's time to recognise that we have a changing of the guard - especially at the Indoor venues. - Look at the performance by young Toni Bou - I also happen to think that 2 strokes will be around for a long tim…

World 125 junior champion Kieran touly has given up on trials the year after his championship win due to no funding or manufacture support from scorpa/Sherco .Bad news for the sport imo ,is this what modern day world trials has become ?an elite sport where serious backing or a large wallet is more important than talent ?

Just seen the team (yes I know it I am slow) why no D Lampkin? Was he asked and he refused? or was he just overlooked because he did not compete in this year’s WTC? A few years ago after Graham Jarvis was brought out of retirement to compete in the UK team for the TDN because we did not have enough skill in the lower ranks so why not DL being called out of WTC retirement/.. DL would still beat 3 of the 4 members selected, plus many of the contenders riding the World Championship. Surly he is still good enough to be selected even just for the experience he has. If the selectors decided he was not good enough why not make him team manager? I wish the 4 lads all the bes…

Does anyone really know how much suspension tuning top riders are doing? I see some riders post that they are using aftermarket "factory" tech forks, but what is the different. It just seems interesting to me that in any other form of motorcycle riding, suspension is so important they are testing constantly, but yet no one is offering to valve, or spring (and as far as springs you can find stiffer than stock but not softer), trials bike suspension aftermarket; at least in the US there is 1 person I know of willing to work with the rear shock, but no one for the front forks. If anyone as had the chance to ride any off-road "big" bikes before and after having the…

Just a few obsevations on scores on day 1 in Bangor. Adam Raga is without doubt a cut above the others indoor, precision skill and control but in the outdoor his score is 20% more, I can't get my head round that? Doug had the most cleans 17 vs. 15 for fuji, expect this to tell today, he will win. Why is grimbo twice the top boys scores? Is it because he has been training alot in Spain? Expect a much better result day 2. Come on you other brits, Shaun Morris scores his first point although well behind his old rival Blazusiak, Sam Connor has at least not finished 15th or 16th, he needs a good score although I know he has an injured ankle. What is David Pye doing, one 3 a…

I get wound up when people make rash statements about events they weren't at so I am going to do the same. Over the past few weeks we have had all and sundry playing hell about hard events but sureley the Portugese event has shown that it is a bigger farce when things are too easy. Jack Challoner 7 points, 8th place sorry its just not on. I will wait to be shot down in flames

Further to Eddie Lejeune's posting about Dougie not being an Ambassador for trials got me thinking. Maybe he is right. So despite of EL's failure to further elaborate on this controversial statement, I thought I would. So apart from 7 consecutive World Outdoor Trials. 5 indoor WTC. 2 Scott Trials. Nearly a decade of the best trials schools on the planet. Numerous memorable Sheffield wins. 99 Outdoor WTC Round Wins. The enormous entertainment he has, and continuous to give trials fans around the World. What has Doug Lampkin MBE ever done for trials?

Just wondering what's going on with Dougie in the past few weeks. After a strong start to the indoor season and his total domination at Sheffield, it's as though he's just lost interest. After five years virtually unchallenged at the top of the sport both indoor and outdoor, has Raga's continuing ascendancy started to affect Dougie's usually impenetrable mental defences? It looks like more than just a dip in form... Here's hoping that he's written off the indoor series and is just looking forward to the outdoors... I'm not so sure. Are 7 world chamionships enough? I'm a huge Dougie fan and I'm NOT writing him off, but if the commitment's gone I'd rather see him retire t…

Rumor has it that the FIM will make 4 strokes mandatory in the 2008 World Rounds, can anyone confirm this? If it's true, will we see 4t 125's from Sherco, GasGas & Beta any time soon? It's 6 months away and there's no talk about this, what gives? Curious in California
