Why is it when I attend World rounds in Europe i.e recently France and Andorra there is no charge to view? For the privileged of attending the UK round I have to pay £30. Don't get me wrong, I can afford £30, just throwing it out there for discussion...........

OK so I was watching the FIM trials videos from MavTV and my wife was playing on her iPad and watching somewhat when she says, "Why does Toni Bou always make the really big steps and nobody else does?" I, of course, went into a long winded explanation about his conditioning and the technical expertise of Honda along with very deep pockets, blah blah blah... She wasn't buying it. She made me replay some of the big hits over and over in slow motion and full speed and said she didn't know what but something was different about the way Bou hit things. Well she is an engineer and there are things she sees that I miss so I started thinking about it. As we watched the replays on…

Many opinions regarding non stop pre season. Thought I'd post a link to a vid from today. If you where the observer and followed the FIM rules (non stop), what would YOU give fujigas in these sections?? To avoid interpretation, here are the crystal clear rules -

Was the observer the only one to see Lampkin disrupt a section marker at section 12's first loop on Sunday? Did anyone get photos? Was this a home field call for Fugi-Gas or was the observer & ?

I am pretty disappointed with the Job that FIM does to promote trials. The Xtrials happened almost 1 month ago in France and still nop where to be found online! On top of that they took off the youtube video that was circulating. For Fans around the world is hard enough having to know who won it first hand before you even watch. at least they should let us watch after. How hard is it to broadcast a trials event on line??? p*** poor job if you ask me

What can be done to get the FIM to change their ridiculous new rules that handcuff trials riders (in an attempt to appease the corporate interests of the manufacturer$)? Fans not attending world rounds is one idea. Your ideas?

Very sad to read of Browns and Casales injuries. If browns injury is correctly reported he is likely to be out for 3 months or more, then there is the time after that to try to rebuild his confidence. Fujigas missed much of last year and even Bou was not exempt from injury. I feel the increased risk of injury is the inevitable consequence of ever lighter bikes, grippier tyres and more extreme sections. There is a trial on youtube (Germany I think) which shows riders riding across what looks like a concrete dam with a gap in it. No great skill required to ride across it but the penalty for wobbling off would be severe. Clerks of the course need to reduce the severity of …

Have a look at this and see what you would do? My view, it's harsh but as long as everyone is marked the same technically correct. This is footage from last Sunday at the TDN. http://www.iomtoday.co.im/sport/Lampkin39s...udge.3255475.jp

Just reading about the new "Factory " GasGas model. Text states: "we have integrated the CDI map and light switches into a small plastic cover on each side. With this change, on the handlebars, the rider will only find indispensable components: Master cylinder and levers for the clutch and front brake, and following the FIM rules, the "dead-man" engine stop switch system." I see a nice little wrist strap hanging from the bars. As a Clubman rider I can't say one of those might have come in handy from time to time, but to make the best riders in the world wear them? What next rubber baby bumpers and training wheels? Maybe they deemed no-stop too dangerous for machi…

Just got home from The Hallam Arena (Sheffield)- what a night! The best Shefield for years- even though Doug didn't make the final Bou was the moral and actual (thank god) winner - those team-tactics from Gas Gas sucked. Still can't quite believe how Bou managed to ride the "race barrels" so fast. I've seen them done on the back wheel plenty of times- but not at warp speed- sensational! Marc Vinco was also fantastic entertainment and allowed the commentators the quality line of "Well, we've seen it done on a push-bike" (before the 3 finalists were about to attempt the Q8 Oils section in the final) Fantastic night, and I wouldn't bet against Bou for either world champi…
