***Disclaimer*** This is a typical kinell 'mishap' so I hereby agree to accept all manner of p*** taking, name calling and mental abuse as long as some bugger eventually tells me how to get my van running again The fuel gauge on the old Tranny always shows full so I keep a spare can of diesel* in the back. Yesterday the van coughed, ran, spluttered, ran and then died on me so I topped her up at the side of the road. The battery ran flat trying to draw fuel so I rang a mate up to help out. My 'bargain' jump leads dripped melted plastic all over their engine bay so a mate of a mate turned up with some heavy duty leads. An hour later and the cow still wouldn't start so …

I have an erde 121 trailer and wondered if any body had some good ideas of how to put a bike on it. I have a grinder and a saw to cut it up and rearrange it is it worth doing?????

I thought it's about time i post up some pictures of my budget camper trailer. All prices listed are AUD, $1 aud is about 0.5 UK pounds. My whole setup seen below is about half the cost of a new bike. Camping is a year round tradition in Australia as it doesn't get very cold in most parts and it's not very wet for most of the year. Camper trailers are big business down under and are everywhere. About 2007 i decided that i needed a trailor for camping. I purchased a brand new offroad trailor for about $1700. I think it was another $200 for the trailer manufacturer to add 3x jerry's, 1x gas bottle holder, upright spare, rear recovery hitch etc so the total was about $190…

I have got a trailer for my bike.But last summer I needed to get my bike to Mallory for the 1000 bike do in which I competed in the pre 65 trial.I also needed my bike at another couple of events. So not wanting to drag the Panther a round on a trailer during the summer I came up with this. 16 bolts to remove the body off my ural and a sheet of chipboard and a few blocks and straps. hi guys, im looking at buying a van after christmas but only for trialing and maybe sometimes to go to work if the weathers bad. ive heard a few people say that you need to be careful when insuring the vans as the insurance companies dont like it when you say that your going to be carrying a bike in the back at weekends and bump up the premiums. has anybody had any past experiences of this and what is the best thing to do about it? ive been looking at getting a vauxhall vivaro and any comments on these would also be greatly appreciated of things to watch out for etc etc. Cheers Coxy

I am soon in need of a new van , currently have a 04 kangoo , which have had from new and has been very very good. Am thinking of getting a new version kangoo (will buy a new van which ever make i get) but can anyone tell me if the new shape berlingo/partner is bigger than the new kangoo as regards getting a trials bike in straight rather than diagonal and is it easier to get 2 bikes in the berlingo than the kangoo? Don't think the peugeot/citreon reliability will be a problem on a new van but do the have any issues i should know about? Dont want a bigger van , had a scudo a few years ago and as i drive around all week with the van being empty it seems pointless…

I got myself a towbar and adult bike rack from Autowbars (My link) in Bradford and can definately recommend the guys there. I got the car booked in and dropped it off with them on the day. I then went straight over the road to the lovely cafe and had some breakfast and several cups of coffee to pass the time. Then 2 hours later the towbar was on, the bike rack fitted, and the number board, number plate, and strappings, all ready. They gave me a run down on how to fit it all together and also some tips on strapping the bike down. I found that if I compressed the fork legs on my Gas Gas with a ratchet strap it would wheel straight into the back of My Ford Galaxy people carrier with no need for any dismantling of the bike. The bike goes in front wheel in first and is a perfect fit with the rear mudguard just clearing the boot. I made this rack to hold the bike securely. It simply clips into the slots in the floor where the middle seat would be. What do you think? Only thing is I've now sold the Galaxy and bought a van!

well, as i discussed in a previous thread , ive been building a new trailer...... i had a very good one, but it was too big and heavy and i wanted a more "trials bike specific" trailer.... so, i got the angle grinder out and set to work.... stripped the original trailer down to just the axle and wheels and began again from there..... heres what i came up with... all newly made bar the axle and wheels, fits 3 bike very securely on it, two forwards,one backwards..... im made up with the results and im happy for anyone to copy this as a patern for their own should they wish too... this picture shows the frame in a bit more detail, before excess bits where chopped …

Hi Folks, I own a Peugeot 1007 fitted with a Swan neck towbar, Im wanting to fit a bike rack instead of lugging a trailer around, anyone know of a clamp that fits onto the swan neck to allow the fitting of said bike rack. Thanks Folks
