OK, I've searched the section and found that 2 trials bikes will fit into a Combo van - but my question is:- Will 2 bikes fit into a CREW version, with the rear seats folded down? I need 4 seats for occasional family use (picking up kids from school etc) but only use the 2 front seats when out on the bikes, with 2 bikes loaded in the back Thanks in advance

I'm going to check out a 2002 Beta. It'll be my 1st trials bike if I decide to buy. However, right now, my only means of transporting the Beta is in the back of a Subaru - either my Outback or Forester. Will the Beta fit??? Anyone tried this?

Been through all the old trials transport forums, but didn't spot anything on getting two bikes inside an Espace, Grand or otherwise. Seems you can get a couple into a Galaxy/Sharan/Alhambra but maybe only after compressing the forks, so wondered if anyone had any luck with the Renault.

  8. HI guys! I am happy to share my own expirence of designing the rack in order to move a trial bike out a city on a small car like BMW 116i. I bought the standard tow bar (250$) and have mounted it (30$), bought some raw steel such as angle 30mm*3mm, plate 3mm, square tube 30*60*3mm, square tube 30*30*3mm and something else i needed i found in my garage (plus 100$). Then i've welded this construction previously calculating and evaluating its safety and reliability. Finally, i mount this item on the tow bar. It's slightly hard to load the bike on but it is possible to do by myself (bike weight is 69 kg). I fix the bike by the heavy cable and the buckle. Also i fix the bik…

As you may all ready know from my other post in this section, i am looking to buy a small van that will accomodate a trials bike (06 Sherco 290). But it is one to use as a car as i dont need it for work. Therfore it needs to be reasonably nippy. I have ruled out the 75PS Connects as they are very slow, but i need to have a go in the 90PS to see what that performs like. Which vans do you lot use that are pretty nippy? I have up to

Hi, have just got myself a new van and really want to get organized with regards to how to strap or secure my bike in it. I typically carry one bike but on occasions could be three. Are there any racks available? is there any thing that could be simply made up? I am trying to avoid the straps everywhere sort of lash up that usually ends up happening! and would be grateful of any tips or suggestions that could steer me in the right direction. Many Thanks.

And of course has to fit a trials bike or two in The vauxhall combo seems to be a good economical van doing around 50-60mpg, Transit connect possibly lpg as the diesel ones dont seem to good on fuel Would like a vivaro but think it wil be equally poor on fuel Berlingo ? Hey Guys, I'm turning 16 in September this year so I'll be wanting to pass my Driving Test as soon as possible. (We can learn to drive at 16 in the IOM) So I was thinking of buying a Van that will only be used to transport 1 or 2 bikes. Does anyone have a suggestion on a Van to buy or could it be better to buy a Trailer?

Does anyone use a box trailer? If so what size for 2 bikes - would a 6 x4 x4 be big enough? Or should I be looking at something slightly larger? Thanks

  18. Started by cursed,

I need to take a bike all the way up north to ride in Scotland (from Bristol), however struggling to find transport. Does anyone know of anywhere that will hire me a van at the age of 20? Cost is not really an issue as it will be paid for (within reason!) however everywhere I have tried has been minimum age of 21 or over. Held my licence for 3 years, no claims etc... Thanks in advance!

right guys........... ive got a 2-3 bike trailer, its very well/professionally built etc etc..proper job for any kind of bike, probably even road bikes at a push.... but it weighs a ton ! i cant move it around as much as id like to for storage etc.... after seeing a few really smart chopped up ,trials bike specific bike trailers i think its time to get the angle grinder out............ im gonna chop it back to a rollin' chassis and go from there..... the best ones ive seen have a block/platform sat above the axle for the bash plate to sit on then, towards the front end, some kind of tray for one wheel to sit in, leaving the other simply hanging over the back of the ax…
