Reckon I'd manage to get a trials bike in the back of a series 1 L/R discovery? It's only to pick up another bike so not a permanant solution. Front wheel off I reckon it might? Ta.

Hi there Just bought a towbar from Anker towbars for my Shogun Pinin. Just read their safety sticker on the towbar and it states that there is a vertical load limit of 60kg. Does this mean I can't legally use my bike rack on it. My Rev 4 is 75kg and my rack is probably another 5kg making it 80kg in total. I've got a similar mounted towbar on my VW Transporter but never even noticed any load limit when fitting it. Any ideas ? Are there towbars with greater limits available for my car or is 60kg the normal vertical load limit and people just ignore this warning ? The fixings certainly look substantial enough to take the weight. Gareth

I am looking to buy a new van and could do with some help from those with van experience. My yard stick for a van is whether it will take a trials bike... although the lack of trials in France dictate this is really not a viable argument... However on that basis what is best overall small van , a Fiat cargo or a Ford Connect. Cheers

Today I finished painting the outside of the house a new colour, and also did the second coat of wood oil on the deck, followed by painting the facias white with enamel paint. After this I was a bit bored and thought it would look good if I used the white enamel paint brush I had used to paint all the facia boards and plant hangers around the house to paint the bike trailer white as well. Not a great colour for trials, but good for visibility. I ordered a towbar for Nicola's Peugeot 1007 this week, to be home fitted next Wednesday. Then I will be able to get to venues over weekends and possibly through the week while I continue to look for a job. Of course, typically,…

  12. Just read another report of a bike theft in Stolen Bikes section on another dirt bike forum - chap reckons he was followed home and 'marked' Is it getting too dangerous to use a trailer or rack and put your wares on display...............seems following you home is a popular way for these to 'mark' your place and nick your stuff Are you more wary, doing a double loop to shake off unwanted attention? I must admit whenever I see a bike on a trailer or rack - I always have a good look to check it out and i'm the pikeys do too

Hi guys Sorry but its another what van question - budget is 2 - 4.5k, thoughts are: Transit - loads about, relatively cheap but boggo 85hp is slowwwww and they do tend to rot somewhat and aren't to hot on fuel use. 56 reg ish with 50 - 70k Hiace - not many about considering nobody ever says anything bad about them. again 56 reg ish 50 - 70 k Vivaro - don't them gear boxes go at 70k? I've heard that either the 5 or 6 speed doesn't have this problem but don't know which! Bit newer with similar milage Vito - Do they come form the factory with those orange splodges ont he white paintwork? Hideously expensive when they go wrong. bit older with lots of miles VW - lot olde…
