Hows everyone go about fastening their bikes to the trailers? I am slightly worried about the amount of pressure I seem to have to put the straps under to secure it and remove most of the suspension sag? At the minute I send a strap through either side of the Fork lower crowns and then one from each side of the frame above the foot pegs to fasten the back down. Ive being thing of building a sump stand for the bike and strapping it too that, but then I guess the bike has no cushion from the suspension? Cheers

Am currently looking at trials transport and favouring a 4WD because I dont fancy getting stuck at some of the muddy fields used for parking It will be a second vehicle on limited mileage insurance so not looking to spend a shedload so have been looking at either Mitsubishi Delica's or a Toyota RAV4, does anyone have experience of using a Dave Cooper type carrier (for one bike) on the back? Either that or suggestions for reasonably priced alternatives

Hello, Looking at getting back on the bike after about 2 years!! In the meantime, I've had the Vivaro converted to a campervan so no room inside any longer!! Considering options for either a bike rack (used to use a Kliponoff years ago!!) or maybe a light, single trailer...... Any recommendations on what's out there nowadays? ta

Hi, Ive purchase an old mk1 Caddy Pickup as a run about and to put my trials bike in the back. rather than just strapping it down, in the past I seen some brackets that bolted to the back of your pick up and clamped the front wheels in. Does anyone know where to buy these or is anybody using them??? Photos of your set up would be a bonus

I'm thinking of converting my two bike trailer into a box trailer so that scallywaggs don't see the bike as I go through towns on my way to a trial. Does anyone know what kind of sheet e.t.c is used for the side panels and where I could get it from? Replies would be appreciated

I travelled to Lancashire today, to collect a single bike trailer. Whilst chatting to the seller, he happened to mention that "My mate reckons his friend was nicked by the Police for towing a three bike trailer without a licence" I said "I'm aware that you have to have an extra test for towing now, because my neighbour [23 years of age], had one" "No", he said, "you can tow a single, or a double, on an ordinary licence, but there's something to do with a triple that's different" Now, I've had a motorcycle licence since 1961, and car since '65, [i think], but I've never heard of this one - anybody care to comment? I'm thinking of buying a Toyota Rav 4 (51 reg). I would also like to use this vehicle so that I can transport my Sherco 250 (2008 model) on the back using a standard (DC) trials motorcycle rack which I have used on a previous 4x4. My concern after viewing a Rav 4 was that the spare wheel which is located on the back door seems to protrude a heck of a lot and could well snag the gear shift/LHS of the bike. Does anyone else use a Rav 4 to carry a trials bike in this fashion?

Can anyone recommend a (wind-out) Side Awning for my Hiace? Do Fiamma make a suitable one? I've seen the Thule ones, that attach to roofbars - but they are   expensive My problem is the Hiace has a low roof and the side door comes out of the roof profile Anyone seen a wind out awning system fitted to a Hiace? Help

Currently running a Nissan Primastar but i am looking to change in the next few weeks and have narrowed it down to the following. Transit Toyota Hiace VW T5 Mercedes Vito Did look at the Renault, Vauxhall, Nissan vans (all the same as mine just badge engineered) but have heard some bad reports. Considered the Citroen, Fiat, Peugeot but again heard of reliability problems. So what experience has everybody had especially with the four i prefer? I am open to other suggestions but i need a proper sized van as it's not used just for carrying the bike, sometimes 3 bikes, but also to tow a burger van and shift stuff / rubbish etc. I also like the idea of having somewhere …

OK Here is my conundrum: due to vehicle movements, leases etc..... I will not have a pickup in the near future. I know of someone who pulls a 3 place motorcycle trailer quite successfully with a Mazda Miata. I have a 1985 Toyota MR2 (Fun Car) I am looking for suggestions on the possibility of transporting my trials bike with it. For those not familiar with this car it is a MID-Engine 4 cylinder street legal go-kart. I am hesitant to use a trailer due to the front end already being light with no engine up there. More weight in rear = lighter front = less ability to steer. Was thinking more along the lines of a rack of some sort. Not too many places in the rear to a…

I am picking my car up on Thursday and have a bike rack, I got with the bike. The rack is one that bolts on and I am NOW told that the SEAT LEON 2010 does not have a 'bolt on' type tow bar available. The only one available I have been told is a 'Brink 4466', Swan neck bar. It's a company car and work were going to pay for the tow bar, however the only one that will fit is uselsss for the only thing I will use it for if I can not find a rack, I would have preferred to use the exisiting one to save pennies (want to use it for a mountain bike rack too - not purchased yet) Does any one know of a SEAT Leon 2010 with a bolt on tow bar that can help? or does any one know of …

As I am 17 and have booked my driving test I am currently looking for small vans which can fit two bikes in. First looked at Ford Connect but they are too expensive for my first vehicle so was wondering about a Vauxhall Combo. Can anyone that has one tell me if they fit two bikes in and please could they post up a picture? I don't want to buy a van and end up with it only fitting one/none bikes in! You may be thinking that a car with a rack would be better for me but van insurance is alot cheaper than car insurance for a 17 year old! Many thanks
