Trials Transport

Vans, Trailers, Racks etc.

Just wondering if anyone has tried to get a trials bike (or 2 preferably) in the new (2018 on) Peugeot Rifter Long or the Citroen (new Berlingo) or Vauxhall (Combo Life) 7 seat equivalent? I've got a Doblo at the moment but want something a bit more car like and modern that can be used as a family car, while also being longer. I had a quick measure in one yesterday and it should work (just - roof is lower than Doblo but 7 seat version can take a full size trials bike lengthways no problem (6th & 7th seats removable). Just looking for real world feedback before taking the plunge and realising my measuring is off! Thanks.

  2. Am currently looking at trials transport and favouring a 4WD because I dont fancy getting stuck at some of the muddy fields used for parking It will be a second vehicle on limited mileage insurance so not looking to spend a shedload so have been looking at either Mitsubishi Delica's or a Toyota RAV4, does anyone have experience of using a Dave Cooper type carrier (for one bike) on the back? Either that or suggestions for reasonably priced alternatives

Tempted to get one of the wheelchair adapted vehicles for trials transport. They're probably better looked after than vans.Does anyone use one. This may be more practical for me than a van. All comments welcome. Picture would be great.

Hello Its that time of year again when all the fields we park in get very wet and differcult to get in or out. i saw something on the weekend that clamps around your wheel a bit like a snow chain but just had four bars on it looked quite simple to fit. Does anyone know what this is or has anyone got anything out there they would recommend to use to keep in the van to help me from getting stuck in a feild like this weekend gone NICE!!!! iv seen these mats you can get. what are they like???? Cheers Darren

  9. Ive got a Mercedes Sprinter at the moment but i'm thinking about getting a smaller van for better mpg. cheaper insurance, cheaper road tax plus smaller size. However must be able to get 2 bikes in and two people. Prefer if it has sliding doors on the side too for ease of access. Problem is i only have a budget of about £1500. Been looking on auto trader and i quite like to look of the Peugeot Expert and the Citroen Dispatch but was wondering if anybody has any experience good or bad of them or could suggest another small van that would suit my needs and budget. Thanks

Anyone recommend a tow bar mounted bike carrier suitable for a van ? It needs to be able to allow the bikes handlebars to clear the back of the van doors, so I guess the front wheel carrier needs to be at quite an angle to allow the handle bars to clear ? Adverts for some I have seen imply only suitable for cars

Has anyone seen where this carrier is available? I don't know for certain if it would work on my SAAB (factory V.5 rated hitch), but it seems it or something like it may work. (To haul my OSSA Explorer)
