Got home late last night, great few days weather was great apart from Sunday. HOWEVER...... The Pre-65 was rather spoiled for me again by the muppets who think it's okay to take their bikes off road because they can't be a***d walking. Friday Meall Na-Cruidhe not many but one or two bikes out on the moors thrashing around all over the place, I know there were a few press bikes but these folk need to be more obvious, yellow press bib?? As for the one I chased, wish I'd got the plate number, 315 mont if anyone's willing to own up......... Saturday was a different story, you could barely move at the top of Mamore for bikes and som eof the Rambles were not chuffed either.…

Hi, I have a question about the SSDT, as an enduro rider I have no problem with the between section going or endurance. My question is, how hard are the sections? I have ridden trials on and off since I was 17, now 50, I now ride trials, both twin shock and modern at clubman level, was expert level in my 20's. I don't mind a struggle. Are most sections ridable for an above average club rider? This trial is on my bucket list. Many thanks in advance Glenn

Word is the early entry numbers are down from the past few years, good time for first time riders to get an entry in, "Mr. Dabster" can't call yourself a trials rider until you have ridden the world's # 1 trial. The whole weeks experience lasts for the rest of your life, get em in, you know you want to, would like, should, could, don't cut it!! just do it.

For those of you who know me and for those of you who don't I have competed in the SSDT.........24 times??? Did I put my entry in for 2008........................No however I did fill it out twice it was touch and go whether I should ride again Over the last few years I have been thinking, maybe I should call it a day, yes I am getting older and find each year tougher (not as tough as the 90's), but there were several other reasons for me not entering. Now I know some of you like reading stories so I will tell you a bit about my 24 years!! Back in 1983 I had just finised my basic training for Her Majestys Armed Forces, being quite a competent skier I got posted to on…

Watched the 1st day at Lagnaha and saw Dabill get away with a "stop" at the end of the 2nd sub. Its amazing how such a knowledgable crowd applauds what was (IMHO) a clear 5. He must have been stationary parallell to the ends cards for 3-4 seconds before he decided what he was going to do. Are the observers briefed at all about the scoring regieme???

Leanachan has always been well-known amongst trials riders, and in recent years the fame of the area has spread with the introduction of a variety of world-class downhill and cross-country cycling routes, not to mention the impending arrival of the world trials scene in June 2010. All of this means that there is a lot more traffic on the Forestry Commission tracks around Leanachan these days, which will be particularly noticeable during SSDT week when the first day of the trial falls on the May Day bank holiday Monday. Those of you who rode in last year

PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE asking you to register with dunlop via there web site to order discounted tires? I have looked but am unable to find how to do this? Any ideas would be appreciated Thanks Scott

At 66 years old, Vojta Klecka from Stockholm, Sweden is one of the oldest competitors taking part in the 2012 Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) and is almost 50 years older than this year's youngest rider (Josh Atkinson, 17). Vojta rode in his first SSDT back in 1973 and since then has returned an astonishing 35 times. So, what is it about 'The Scottish' that makes Vojta keep coming back year after year? Who better to answer this question than the man himself: "I think it is the haggis," jokes Vojta. "No, seriously, it is a fabulous event and Scotland is a beautiful place. It is quite a tough trial, the distances are very long, but I always have fun. A number of times over…

I was looking at a picture front page of a 1979 TMX , of Colin Bell works SWM, riding pipeline. In the background it shows riders approaching pipeline from the other side, and then what looks like they get their bikes up on the pipes and ride across some planks. A good few spectators are gathered at the plank crossing, it must of been quite entertaining watching riders slip between the pipes. Anyone remember this ???

I was lucky enough to get an entry in this years SSDT and have decided to attempt to raise funds for charity (Cancer Research UK) in the process, having recently lost my grandmother to cancer. It will be my first attempt at the event and am really looking forward to it! Any donation however big or small will be much appreciated, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all in May! Sponsor Me
