hi all i have the 199A i use NGK is there an up grade that i can get?

Hi could anyone help what bike this is from. On rim Me 1947 and brake arm screw has Bultaco m80.There is a akront sticker but no writing on rim.

I have a blue 199 Sherpa with frame number JB 19902239. It has tubes under the engine and no gusset on the swing arm. It has blue frame, tank and mudguards etc. Can someone confirm whether or not Bultaco released blue frame 199 Sherpas.

Need photo's & help please. Have purchased a airbox assembly & side panels from Sammy Miller. The assembly consists of the airbox only !!, no filter access cover available ! The airbox supplied has a large hole at one side for the filter, i assume i will have to make a access cover plate. Also how do i fit the narrow pin side panels supplied. The airbox has no holes or grommets etc. Can anyone help with photo's of the genuine airbox & filter access panel c/w nut etc. This would help me figure out. In hindsight should have waited and bought a good secondhand one !!!!!!!

i have been working on this for a bit, but must knock on now so thought i would show a few bits i done.. As you can see, some of these i have not done them as well as i could, and the reason for this is the bike is going to be my first go at trials, so its going to get abused and on top of that i did't want a bike i would be scared to use. The bike is all there just needs bearings and a tidy up as well as a bit of welding and its on to the paint. Doing the forks at work in the next few days and will hopfuly put a pick up.. next is the swing are which i have removed the bearing and need to get new ones. then paint for that and the frame.. forgot to say the bike i…

I'm re-building a '76 model 183 Sherpa T 350 that has the bigger "clubfoot" shaped muffler which I was thinking of replacing with an earlier style "banana" style muffler, is this a good or bad idea? Obviously Bultaco put a lot of R & D into those clubfoot's with all those internal chambers and such but, I prefer the aesthetics of the banana muffler as well as it being about 1 kg lighter than the clubfoot (according to inmotion website), but am curious how it effects performance and is it possibly too loud. Anyone experimented with the two on a Sherpa T 350?

Hey hey Just for my amusment really but can you guys put up some pics of your sherpas that are NOT the standard red or blue. I am finally building up my project taco and will be sending the frame off for a dip in an acid bath soon but i am unsure what colure to paint it. I have seen a nice black and white taco which may copy but i am still looking for ideas and inspiration. Before any one moans i do have a sherpa in original colours which will be refreshened once i have this project built Many thanks James

Hi I have a M159 Bultaco 350 and have consulted both Haynes and Clymer manuals Please can anybody give me a tip for removing the following bobbin that has attached itself to the crank, presumably with the O ring that appears to have died inside it? This bobbin is not mentioned anywhere, but I assume is common as the steps in the crank at this end appear common to more than the 159. Also, please confirm: 1. Remove bobbin 2. Replace O ring (about an inch in diameter) 3. Replace seals in carrier 4. Replace bobbin 5. Replace weight and re-assemble the rest of it etc.. It's just No 1. I can't find any reference to and am struggling to remove! Cheers Mick

Hello all, I have a Sherpa 350cc 183 (1976) that is in need of some attention as she’s not starting. Ive cleaned the carb and jets and replaced the spark plug, but realised here isn’t any sparks coming through. Ive take some pictures for you guys as I think it is wire fault which I can’t seem to bend my head around! There seems to be a cut off switch installed but I’m just not certain about the actual wiring in general so thought I would ask the specialists on here. If you need any more pictures or info then please do ask. Thank you in advance. Regards james

I am looking at ideas to convert my 159 chassy to right side brake, does someone make a kit? I do have a left side shifter, I have studied the 199b set up and figure I could manufacture something that would work, I am handy with a welder and have been working on different designs, I would like to see pics of what others have done to slove this problem before commiting to welding something to my bike

Hi all, mentioned this elsewhere, but I'm keen to get a solution - I have a plastic tank for my Sherpa which no matter how I try to clean it, dries with a white powdery appearance. Have tried paint thinner, car polish, kitchen cleaners, petrol and hot water (not at the same time) but no luck. Had a go with some wet & dry tonight which has almost completely smoothed out the texture of the tank, but still hasn't got rid of the white. I'd like to have a good looking tank, but I'd rather clean this up than buy another. Any ideas?

Hi all I thought I join the club I just bought a 199A bultaco 350cc , Bit ruff round the edges (seat ripped ,paint flake,old tires) but I will give it a lick of fresh paint and and go thro it ,been after a 199A model for a while and this came up and bought it I really like the style of the 199A model so i going to see how about getting it road reg soon so i be looking for help on a few things soon will post pictures of my rebuild soon

Hello, Bought this off of the original owner a few years ago. Came with original manual and sales receipt. 753 miles. He told me it was a '67, but the identification charts on bultaco.com do not have my serial number (403 541)... any input? Have not tried to start it yet, I have just power washed it. Any advice on what to look over or change prior to starting? Original owner had it running a couple years ago... tomorrow I will clean carb, revise wiring, change spark plug and put in some fresh gas! Will report with an update. Can anybody help. I have a Red Ali tank and seat on my Sherpa Slimline. The underside of the tank shows signs of being Blue a one stage. I understand the bike is 1972/73 with matching frame and engine nos ( 92 ). Question. Did the bike start with a Red tank or Blue. Was there a colour change through production or did one of the prevoius owners prefer Red to Blue. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks jtsdad

Hi guys, Just taken delivery of a Bultaco Sherpa 250, 1979 , I need to know the type and quantities of oil required in the gearbox, clutch, forks and what type of two stroke oil. The previous owner used the new Castrol 747 2stroke oil, at 50:1, is that right . Many thanks. Dave.

I entered my 1975 Butlaco Sherpa T Model 151 in a classic Motorcycle Show. To my surprise my bike won overall. There were about 30 to 40 bikes there. I was setting up and working all day on a AHRMA Trials event at Hollister. I wish I would have taken pictures of the show but was too busy all day. The trophy is Best in Show in memory of Jim Pomeroy. An awesome trophy. Good thing my idol Big John was not there he would have kicked my a$$
