I have recently bought an Ossa having decided I needed a project and fancy a go at twin shock trials. How do I find exact pictures of the bike, details age etc. I noted from a member earlier that the frame and engine numbers should match and date the bike. They are different but similar: B-234300 & B-231300, I didn't know if I'd miss read it but am fairly sure they are different. Can anyone help?

Hi there guys, just wondered if anybody has succeeded in getting a "duel map" installation installed on there "standard" bikes,I know the "Factory Edition" has this function and so did the last years "SSDT Model". I see Bob at Ossa Canada has mentioned he now has the "Duel Map Switch" available, I assume just running the latest Map-13 does still not let you access this function even once the "Duel Map Switch" is installed. Anybody know the correct Map Number or File Name of the "Duel Map" ? Also I have been trying to find a flywheel puller for the TR 280i,has anyone seen these for sale anywhere?

Hi there all,new at this forum buisness so go easy on me,i thought i was close to buying a new OSSA TR280 (2012),but managed to get a ride on a 2012 model at a test ride day last week,i was very disappointed in the clutch drag the bike had and neutral was totally (unselectable)with the motor going ,i realize this has been a sore point on some or most of the bikes, just wondered what all you owners have done (oil type and adjustment wise) to overcome this problem? I have sent of emails to quiet a few dealers in a few countries and this is not an isolated problem, some have found the AJP master cylinders bypassing from new and need a repair kit installing and say you need to …

I think the Ossa looks to be very innovative and cool. But I have a question about the frame. I have done some research and am unable to find the answer. Frame: CR-MO steel tube profile with pipe and bottom made of cast aluminium So how are these cast aluminum pieces attached to the CR-MO steel tubes? I can't see any bolts. Am i blind, daft or just missing something? Also any concern of damage to the lower portion of the fuel tank with having the skid plate mounted to it? Could be quite a bit of stress on the lower part of fuel tank with the skid plate being bashed and bending around a bit.

It's for the earlier OSSA fuel-injected models that tend to be hard to start. Since the original thread is 24 pages and very hard to follow and confusing OSSAs own easy-start mod with various DIY mods or tweaks, here I'll put down a simple DIY mod into a single thread: You need: - 9V battery - 9V battery holder or connector - switch (or even better if a Yamaha-type kill-switch) - little bit of light wiring (some 5-10 inches total or a little more if you route to handlebar killswitch) - some longer straps to fix the battery (and for the switch if you don't use kill-switch) And a mandatory very important note to any DIY mod: DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK! (and ma…

I just acquired a 72 MAR that seems in pretty good shape. It does smoke a bit and drip some oil so I understand that I need to do the crank seals and gaskets. What special tools do I need to do this? Also any tips would be greatly appriciated. When it is all tight, what is best to run in the gear box? I have some Redline MTL. It was missing the decompressor but I found one NOS. Does the decompressor go in the hole at an angle to the ground? Thanks for any help on this. Jim in Folsom, CA

Hi. I was hoping someone could help med with a problem I have. After winter storage my 2013 Ossa TR300i keeps boiling. Fan won’t start but I’ve tested it out and the fan works with direct power. I’ve read multiple post’s on this but still can’t figure out what’s wrong. I’m no pro when it comes to MC engines so I’m having some difficulties figuring out everything. I was thinking of sending it to service, but found out that it cost almost as much as I gave for the bike so I’m hoping I can fix it myself. Thus far I’ve checked all connections and they seem fine. I’ve ordered a can of Evans waterless cooling hoping it will stop the boiling but i think I should fix …

Hi there guys, well i finally have my new 2012 TR280i in the garage,if it ever stops raining i will be able to take it for a ride.Anyway getting to the chase,i went to remove the rear wheel for a wee look and check the axle for lube, drooped the chain, removed the axle and proceeded to slide the rear wheel back and what do you know, the heads of the rear disc bolts catch the inside of the calliper assembley, am i missing something here,i have had many bikes over the last 30 years but have not had this before, surely you dont have to remove some disc bolts first? A riding partner of mine has acquired a pristine condition 250 Gripper and it appears to be near museum quality. Lucky him! He's unsure about a couple of things, however. He wants the bike to be as close to original as possible. He's seen photos of 81 250's with either orange or unpainted bars. Same for the chain guard. Both his bars and guard are unpainted. Did a mid year production switch happen? Also. the stock shocks are Telesco brand. Are those stock and are they rebuildable? Thanks for any advice, info, or guidance.

Hi I currently have a 2011 Beta evo 250 and am considering replacing it with an Ossa. I am looking at 2011 and 2012 models, are there much differences between them ?. How reliable are the Ossa`s and what sort of regular maintainence do you have to do to them ?. I have read about the re-mapping that needs to be done, what other mods need to be done. ? . I know the bikes are light but how do they ride compared to a Beta ?. Hopefully help from forum members will point me in the right direction, many thanks.

Hi. For those who want to know how to disassemble the gearbox, the pinion must be heated to about 200ºc. Now I'm going to change the bearings. They are references of Gasgas. MT280236158 MT280232043 Cheers.
