Just taken delivery of a new 250. Vertigo have got rid of the 9V battery. Bike was built Jan 2017. Apologies to existing owners, I forgot to ask if they can eliminate this on earlier bikes. Very pleased so far!

I have a 2022 Vertigo Nitro Jaime Busto Replica 300 that runs very rough past 1/4 throttle. First 1/4 is pretty good, idle is fine. Did it pretty much from new, bike now has 30 hours on it, and it seems to be getting worse. Past 1/4 throttle it runs very rough, repeated surging and near stalling, but only under light load. Hard acceleration is good, steep uphill is good, 5th gear on flats or slightly downhill is terrible, to the point where it nearly stalls. There's also a spot about 5000 RPM where it just doesn't run cleanly at all, lots of smoke and very rough. This bike has the lithium battery with a different wiring harness from earlier models and a 6 p…

I know the early Vertigos had mapping issues which were sorted pretty quickly so if buying a second hand 17 ice hell, can I be sure the mapping is sorted? Cheers!

Not long purchased my 2020 vertical 250 and noticed it does not like pull from very low revs as the engine seems to bog down and rattle like its got a lean ping. anything above that its clean as a whistle right up to full throttle. Do I need to get access to a tuning box and enrich the mixture of the bottom to eliminate this? Another thing I have noticed is the tick over has gone up of late,, it now idles much higher than it did previously but I haven't changed anything. Can I just turn the tickover down at the screw on the throttle body? Many thanks in advance for any advice.

Is it just me, or has anyone else that's ridden the Vertigo and the TRS find the TRS is infinitely easier to nose wheelie? I freely concede that my technique is horrible, and that, were it not, it would largely make no difference. But given what it is, I find the Vertigo carries so much weight down low, that it's very hard to initiate a nose wheelie without a kicker to help get the rear end started on its way up. Once it's up there it's easy to control because of the centralized mass, but unfortunately sections are seldom set up with my inadequacies in mind. The TRS by contrast is the lightest feeling bike I've ridden, and the rear end will come up incredibly easily…

Hi all, I have a 2019 Vertigo and for some reason I keep getting a lot of transmission oil from the breather hose to the airbox, and from there the oil drips everywhere, it gets pretty messy. I have heard from a Vertigo mechanic that the new Vertical R has a "oil catcher tank" inside the airbox so that the oil won't get all over the place, but in the Vertical R parts diagram I cannot find the drawing or the part number code.... Can anyone help me out? TIA!

Got a 2021 Combat works 250, and its really hard to start from cold. Once its hot, not problem, 1 or 2 kicks every time. I've read that i should be doing 3/4 slow kicks, then quarter throttle and kick it properley. I'm usually into about 20 kicks before it comes alive? It's got a brand new BPMR4A plug in (previously a 6 but same symptoms). Fuel is super unleaded with 30ml (170:1) of rock oil. Any ideas?

Last week I had a high compression cylinder head insert installed on my 250 (S3 insert). Compared it with a standard 250 of the same year (at the dealer's) and it feels much stronger and runs cleaner. So very happy with the result. The high compression is noticeable when starting, but it still starts with the first kick warm, three when cold. Strange thing is that the idle went up. Stalling it now is almost impossible, but clutch control needs some adaption. Any thoughts how idle can increase by a high compression insert?

Hi everyone, Off to the Test day at Earl Shilton and hoping to secure myself a new bike, but, how has everyone's user experience been? in regards too build quality, cleanliness of airbox and niggly bits that need sorting or are an easy fix for a dab hand on the tools?? just don't fancy being too much of a test subject Thanks

Hi I have a vertigo nitro 250. I stepped down from a 280 trs and found the bottom end to be a bit too soft for my liking. I have been playing around with the get ecu tuning, more fueling off the bottom seem to help a bit but I'd like a bit more power. I'm wondering if advancing the ignition timing off the bottom would help? But I'm worried about messing with it too much. Other alternatives I'm assuming could be adding a high compression head? Has anyone tired this? Hoping to get some suggestions. Thanks!

I collect my 2017 Combat Camo this weekend and wondered what owners think is the best way to mount a number board? Or is it better to just tape the number over the light?
