Can somebody introduce dadof2 to this thread. It appears there are mechanical issues here which have not been addressed by producing a heavier bike ?

I find the forks have too much compression damping for my weight. Change the fork oil to 2.5 weight in the left leg , i find this helps

IS a 200 a 250 with a smaller barrel rather than a 125 with a bigger barrel ?

Is it not just the float needs adjustment?

Is the 4rt claimed weight dry or with engine oil and petrol ? The mont carries a lot more oil i would think

Its quite common for a trials bike to do 350000 kilometres.... This makes me laugh really, not getting at you feetupfun but how many of those against FI trials engines drive to the trial in an FI vehicle week in week out ? My van started again today, it's done 89000 miles but this wouldn't influence the purchase of a FI trials bike, its simply not relevant

Yes all good points Johnny. But unless dairy farmers buy only gas gas off road bikes this is an industry issue not Gas Gas specifically

If you connect the carb breather back to the tank on a trials bike surely its just going to flood the engine when going downhill or the bike is dropped ? This is an advantage of efi i would think.

Assuming you mean the tank breather ?

One way valve fitted to the breather stops that and costs less than a tenner. Keihins spill a lot if fuel though when pointed downhill or bike is layed over

My point is how many 4rt or ossa systems have failed bearing in mind the 4rt was released in 2005 and the ossa in 2011. In France, the usa and Germany trials are not permitted in streams. Start at Warden Law go kart track just off the A690 above Houghton le spring. I think their website is called karting north east, they have a trials park at the track. This sunday Durham County Trials Club are running an event at Hope Farm, signed from Longframlington. Go along and have a look, trials riders in the NE are a friendly bunch

Oh and i broke the brake plate on the model im talking about at the ssdt. We also had to repair the bearing housing afterwards as the bearing spun in the hub.
