Anybody got tips on the dreaded 'forearm pump'?? (lactic acid, so somebody told me) I've just got back into trails from a long lay off, I'm finding the riding ok except that my forearms pump up really bad after about a lap, sometimes it'll go away after a short rest but today i had it for the whole five laps!. I suppose i should ride/practise more often but the family thing puts the stoppers on that one Any tips to stop this?? MG

recently set up a practice area in my back garden in an old horse arena,full of about a foot of sand that’s now overgrown with weeds and grass. Took me 3 days to clear it all out but it’s coming along now. I can get up the big tire 9 times out of 10 but I can’t do the row of tires as I don’t know how to hold pressure yet. Any improvements/ideas with the stuff I have will be appreciated thanks

I am not completely confident that this is the right place for this topic...but I can't find a better place to ask this question. I have never lived in a place where heat was required in my shop. I recently moved to Washington State in the United States from tropical Mexico...before that I lived in San Diego in Southern California. Now I am sitting in the fog, snow and incessant rain waiting for my shop to be finished. I have a general idea about how to heat a building, but most of the economical solutions involve an open flame...pot bellied stove burning wood or some freestanding heating unit that burns propane...that seems like a bad idea in a structure where I will be …

Hi Folks, the place where I ride is very muddy at the moment. I, as an off road novice, find the mud very disconcerting. Is there a technique for dealing with mud? Am I doing it right by just (trying) to relax my grip and just constantly correcting the steering as it slews left to right? I tend to let the speed drop right off but I've read about crossers and Paris-Dakar types going faster in these situations to dig in the rear and lift the front out but I have a mental block about trying this particular technique. Hi all, I was on this a while ago asking for general info on the 1993 Aprilia 280R Climber (purple tank, yellow radiator shrouds). Now I'll be more specific. Looking at the forks, theres a couple of screws on the top and I was wondering what sort of adjustment was available on these forks and which adjuster is which? Theres also an adjuster on the left hand fork but not on the right. Which is which? Also, same question for the shock.........

Being rather new to maintaining and Riding Bikes, could someone tell me what is the best way to clean and take care of your Chain ? Iv'e read other posts regarding this........ some posters say to clean then soak your chain in oil ! What oil would be best to use ? I also see you can buy in a can an all in one cleaner that does the same Job ! ( or does it) your replies would be most appreciated, as my bike is as clean as i can get it after a Trial though the Chain is full of Gunk, i have the Spray on Grease that i use but that is just adding to the muck that's already on the Chain ! Simple question. How much faster is the fast throttle? What are the advantages and disadvantages of slow and fast. I'm riding a montesa 260 4rt. Ordered a fast domino to try out so I'll find out on my own soon enough but would appreciate some feedback and opinions on this subject.✊️

after about 6 hours of riding my hands start to become really sore on the caluses at the bottoms of my fingers, does anyone have a way of stopping this? ive always used Hebo "team" gloves, has anyone had any similar experiences with thin gloves and found other ones better? All the best Tom

Interesting to read the complaint about queue jumpers in the Bradford Club trials results posted this week. While queue jumping may be annoying, it's certainly nothing new. It brings to mind an interview with Mart and Rastus when they were near the top of their game some 40 years ago in one of the monthly bike mags (at the time they were running a coal delivery firm together). They freely admitted to parking their bikes at the front of a queue ready to slot straight in at the front after inspecting the section. As they put it "most people think it's because we can't be bothered waiting" but actually it was deliberate so that after they had prepared the section as well…

Could it be true? I just returned from a Trade show a couple of weeks ago , were I spoke to a manager of a company who makes cheap scooters and bicycles. This company is already producing bicycles for trials that retail for around 300.00 in the US. Im sure many of you have seen the youngsters zooming around the pits on these 20'' bicycles and now 26'' wheeled models are being sold. So, I asked if there was a motorcycle trials bike in R&D and he said they would have pictures by July of this year.
