Ok folks, the timing marks on the flywheel ... 'f' mark lines up at tickover and as revs rise the timing light shows advance which keeps moving untill the 'II' marks and then goes no further. Is this as it should be, the Clymer manual for 200 hondas is a bit vague, saying advance STARTS at the 'II' marks, which sounds all wrong to me. Cheers.

Hi all Has anyone had experience with replacing the front fork bushes on a TLR 200 (35mm forks)? I have a set stripped down for an overhaul and noticed that the bushes are showing signs of wear. How easily should they come out? Interestingly, there is no part number showing in the parts manual for the bushes! Maybe they are not supposed to be replaced? Any help appreciated.

restoring a reflex and im almost done, put a honda xr100 carb on it, wes pipe ,alum wheels, fiberglass tank seat combo, does anyone or has anyone messed around with the steering geometry on these bikes it steers like a pig, also finding shocks with a 17 1/2 eye to eye center is another issue, also put on a hand compression release to eliminate breaking the hard to find kickstart levers, any tips on these babies would be cool

  15. The Wiseco page shows pistons for the XR 200 in 65.5mm with over bores at 66, 66.5, and 67mm. What's the standard bore of the TLR 200? I've located a local who can resleeve my TLR to standard, but am curious about the Wiseco.

I've just bought a TLR200 (1986), which has had the original decompressor cable assembly removed - I'm presuming people do this as they consider it not really necessary? Looking at the workshop manual/parts fiche, it seems the decompressor is originally attuated automatically by a short cable from an arm behind the kick-start lever? Although I have seen examples who have [presumably replaced] this system with a manual lever on the handlebars... I would like to install a manual decompressor on my bike - I intend to use a CRF450 clutch perch which has a second small lever [for the hot start on that bike] to attuate the decompressor cable, and which is the same set-up I ha…

Probably a question I'll get beat up on, but I'm a new owner to a very custom TRL200 trials bike. The bike rides Extremely well, but I've always rode 2-stroke bikes (Bultacos, TY's, SWM, COTA's) and just don't like the engine braking (after throttle is shut off), as it's quite noticeable and "jerky". This is not clutch related on clutch engagement, as I already have the anit-jutter kit installed (which makes a tremendous difference). I assume lower gearing would help some, but it's already been geared down. Does anybody have any tips/tricks (besides "get used to it") or engine/head modifications? My bike has a ATC 200X head on it. p.s. I rode the TLR back-to-b…

Hi, I am looking for some help or advice on where I may be able to get a replacement clutch casing for my TLR200. Unfortunately at a recent trial I damaged it and it now has a leak. Thanks in advance. Andy from NZ
