I may be behind the times here but I have just read that SM Products are to remake a limited number of the Hi boy frame for the TL125. What with all the bickering going on re the re launch of other frames and chassis etc etc how many I wonder will be built using 125 motors. Also there are going to be some "modifications" to the new frames. There are bound to be TLR200 motors used and many other components that were not around back in the day so where will these fit in I wonder. Personally it doesn't bother me what folk use I really don't give a monkeys, just good to see folks out there riding and having a good day, but there are those that will throw their teddies out of t…

Hi Everyone, I have a TL125S lovingly restored. It has been running on battery ignition with the original points as I converted it to battery with all lights to commute to work. We had issues with the magneto style original ignition at the time of build and just went with the battery ignition option temporarily. I recently got a new ignition coil and plastic side panels to complete the restoration and after fitting the coil/condensor I found I still have ignition dramas. The bike is very easy to start, has enough spark to hurt my foot when the timing was set a little aggressive, but as soon as you load it up it miss fires, completely looses spark and back fires through …

Hi all I am considering building a Gollner TLR mono replica as my next "project" (just don't mention it to the wife ). However before I decide to take the plunge, I would be interested to hear from anyone who has any info and/or photos of the Gollner TLR200/250 mono. Details on the net are very limited (I managed to find two grainy photos). Info regarding the type of shock used and details around the front mounting bracket would be very helpful. I know its a long shot but maybe someone has access to some of the original parts? (I have borrowed this image from the web so I hope the owner doesn't mind.) Feel free to PM me. Any info appreciated, thanks.

I've bought an xl250s motor for a project and need to gear it down for trials. Anyone got any ideas for a small front sprocket, somewhere in the region of 10 teeth? Does it match anything off the shelf? Thanks

Question for owners of the TRL 200... what is the gearing you have for your bike? Stock or ?? I'm finding... from my limited newbee experience... the bike seems to run much too fast just puttering around my backyard in 1st gear. According to an older trials book by a fellow named Perry, the speed should be such that you can walk along side of the bike in 1st gear at idle. I can do that at a pace perhaps 1.5 times faster than normal walking. I only wish I had someone in my area who could test ride this bike for me and make some recommendations. Unfortunately, trials seems to be a foreign word in the states. So, I'm on my own. Please give me some suggestions on what to …

Does any one know anything about this TLR200 OKO carb kit? Claims to offer many fixes over the OEM Honda carb. Not sure l am allowed to post the link to it but easy to find on Google for both the US and UK distributors. No more throttle lag, instant acceleration, leanness is removed... The holy grail they claim.

Just bought a tlr 200 with apparently the wrong carb. It is a keihin but I think perhaps too big. After the bike has run for a short while it chokes up. Can anyone let me know what carb I need and where I might get one from? Also what jet size it should have etc. Cheers

Just finished my project TL270 and I must say I am more than thrilled with the result.... I ended up using a 270 cc piston kit, a heavier xl250 flywheel, and a cut steering head (1.5 degrees). The shakedown ride went quite well - I've never enjoyed a trials bike more in my 35 years of riding. The bike was pure joy.... and then, and you knew this was coming, she signed off with a misfire. Back at the ranch I started the investigation. The bike kicked over with good compression, but had no spark on what I would call a plug that had a good tan color to the ceramic part, yet had black carbon ash on the edge of the threads. Plug was new before hand. The points looked a bit b…

I have recently acquired a '75 TL125. I've been perusing the net to see what people had done to them. I ran across this one that is somewhere in Britain. I believe it is an "S" model. Any information on the build of this bike would be appreciated. Thanks!

Lets say that honda wil bring out a brand new TLR, how much wil you pay fore it? Like the car manufactory do with the beetle, the mini , the ford GT and others. So its a hype to bring out old models in a new look. I think its an idee, and a commercial good one to bring out a new popular model. Lets say its the TLR, they can sell lots of them. like they did before on her own local markt, what would you like to improve on the bike. Price must be so low as possible to get good salesfigures. My opinion is, chance as les as possible an make it a max. 5000 euro bike. What do you like to chance within this priceclass? Stiffer alu frame. Disk brakes, as you cant ride cla…
