Hi, Can anyone recommend anywhere that some friends and I could go for a weekend of Trials practice with overnight camping facilities?

Is there a document available somewhere, or does anyone know, what the rules are governing the bikes competing in the Scott (or the SSDT for that matter)?

  6. Many years ago ( 50) I was a pimply faced apprentice motor cycle mechanic in a Matchless dealership in Auckland NZ. (John Dale Ltd) We had for a period one Mechanic, Bob Gollner who was a keen trials rider and I might say a very good one too. While there Bob built a trials bile using a Villiers motor. I notice in various mags the same name being mentioned as an owner of a co building trials bikes in GB. (Cheetah) Is this the same guy? If not its a strange coincidence as "our Bob was an englishman and a nice guy into the bargain. Can anyone enlighten me, and if the same what or where is he now? Regards. good forum. Dave

For those that do the nationals all over the country it can be a bloody long drive home sometimes on a Sunday evening, we normaly listen to the top 40 show and then start listening to CD,s but what do people listen to ? We have had many CD,s over the years like Pink Floyd & Genisis etc, but the current most played seems to be Deleriums Albums called Chimera, or Karma. So what is your most popular motorway CD? www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnhtlHPt0pY& feature=related

Only 2 weeks away. I can't wait. Best trial of the year IMHO. ( Even though Steam Packet make it horrendously expensive, but I wont get into that again) Hoping to get another finishers trophy. (A trophy for just finihing, Brilliant!) Only one I have got a chance of winning. But that doesn't matter. Top trial, and lots of beers on the Saturday night. Who on the forum is riding. Might see you there.

I'm hearing news that a certain rejuvinated Jake Miller, heavily into training for his return to the world of competitive Trials in the 2008 SSDT as Dougie's waterboy and chief bitch * , smoked the Cota Kid and DJ Denzil at the recent Dougie Training Days. Can anyone confirm this? *Highlight hidden text to reveal spoiler

There is some discussion at the moment concerning the practice of allowing riders to ask for a 'five' rather than attempt a section. Some organisers think that failing to make a genuine attempt at a section should be punished with more than five marks. I personally think that providing a rider asks for a five in person, then this is fine. What do others think? Should we be 'encouraged' to ride every section?

Hi guys my first post on the forum so I'd like to firstly say hello to everyone , I've recently decided to make the jump from motocross over to trials , having spent most of my teens riding cycle trials it's something I've always wanted to do but all my mates ride mx so that's where I found myself. I've not sourced a bike yet but I've got a budget of about 1700 to 2k . I can't help but keep looking at the montesa 315 hrs , something about them bikes I love , I've read a lot of thread on which second hand bike to buy and the conclusion of most is find one that's suits your riding style , but how do I make that call if I've never riden a trials bike before ? Would the mont…

Hi Guys, Does anyone happen to have a copy of Junior kickstart from 1981. Over the past 15 years i've managed to build up a collection of all the adult and junior editions but 81 is proving impossible. I've tried several people who rode that year but not joy either, if anyone could help or point me in the direction of someone who could it would be greatly appreciated. Martin Arden and Rob Sartin were the winners if that helps. Cheers
