i have a 2011 gg 300 txt pro and the suspension feels like mush. Took it to my local suspension guy and he said the Sachs rear shock is not made to rebuild. Do I need to get a new shock? The bike squats so low now it won't even stay on the kick stand, it tips over.

Hey, All!!! I apologize if this has already been covered. I did a "SEARCH" using terms like "clutch removal" & "removing clutch", and basically struck out. Here's my problem: I'm trying to remove the clutch on my 2010 280 Pro model. I'm to the point where I need to remove the 4mm allen bolt in the center of the clutch. The bolt on my bike appears to be "stripped", and at the least, is VERY shallow. The once 6-sided hole of that allen bolt is now more or less rounded, from what I can see. I probably was the one that did this. The hex key I have that is long enough to reach down to that bolt is one with a "ball end" on one end, and that's the end I tried to use, bef…

Bought a new 300 GP few weeks ago and overall very pleased with bike but it has developed a rattle on start up that's concerning me. From cold I can start the bike usually second kick. This is my fourth gasser since coming back to trials a few years ago and I understand the concept of the "bart simpson" half gear on the kick start mechanism and how the intermediate idler can sometimes be damaged if the k/start is 'slapped' when starting. I always roll the KS over until it engages at the top and follow through cleanly and I believe my proper technique is confirmed by the fact I can start the bike easily and consistently. I know it is difficult to diagnose noises l…

Hello, i have problem with clutch pick-up. When im droping the clucth i can't get a good jerk (burst/spurt..don't know how proper on english). It feels like clucth disks are worn out and it slips. Before that i could pull a wheelie at 5th gear and at 1st make a good sharp "jerks", but now bike just like for easy clubman rider, it has pick-ups but soo light - i don't like this. What i did to examine: My clucth is old (2006 Raga 300), but i changed 1 plate in past 3 yrs. I just measured clucth basket - it is 9.75-9,8mm thick and 10 fingers are 17.5-18mm tall (like was stated on Jim Snells site 17 +/-1mm). I have 2 new fibre plates (i think it's "Surflex" - 3 disks kit fr…

hi. i was out today and was riding in the stream when the front end of my bike droped of a ledge. the water more or less covered my handlebars. i managed to eventualy start it but could it have caused any damage. i gave it a good pelt over the moors and all seemed ok. when i got home i realised that water had got into the gear box oil so i drained it and changed the oil but the oil has gone cloudy again. what is the best way to get rid of the water? is it to keep changin the oil? thanks. its a gas gas 2003 200 pro

Hey guys, just found your site. I'm real close to picking up a Gas Gas 280 or 300 pro from a local dealer but I have a few questions. First off I normally ride my Ktm 250SX in the woods and MX track days. Works great on the track, real rough in the woods around here as they are filled with steep rocky hill climbs and tight technical riding. I'm thinking that the trials bike would be great for my single track stuff. My main concern is how well the bike will perform when I hit the open fire roads. I fully realize the bikes are not built for speed but where do they top out at in 6th gear ? Fuel consumption. How far can I go on less than 1 gallon of fuel ? I saw on another …

Im supposing everyone has seen the photos. Anyone know any info, on when, what price and any differences? For those who havent http://www.photobysergio.fr/gas-gas-gp.html Oh and who's idea was it to call the current 2017 bikes, 2017? Another bike released before its even 2017. Are gasgas guilty of "planned obsolescence" ?

I have a bit of a time sensitive question for any of the gu ru's out there. I have heard of a lighter clutch spring for the pro's. I have found this one and will probably call Jack in the morning (currently sunday and i am pooped from riding all day) http://www.jackscycles.com/lpse.html Has anybody tried using this on a 300 pro. It does not mention this cc. Does anybody know of another way to reduce my pull. Before you ask i have measured the stack height at .380 inches which is 9.65 mm from my calculations. I replaced the clutch due to the old one slipping and having a stack height of .310 inches wayyy out of spec. I am using atf and change it every three r…

There are lots of different views on what gearing people use on the Pro trials bike,im talking common bike,250,280 and 300,not 125 and 200s. One view is to use a 10 tooth on the front rather than the standard 11 to slow down over all speed in the section...........................BUT as reducing the size of the front sprocket increases acceleration does this mean the bike is more likely to spin up easier??? Just thought i would start a pole to see peoples views and to give others some insight?? Cheers Benz
