Hi, Has anyone have any experience of the Butaco Sherpa Alloy Fuel Tanks currently for sale on Ebay? These are made in India just wondering what the quality is like. The pictures of them show an unfinished tank without a Fuel Cap. Any comments are welcome. Old Geezer

There seems to be a lot of photos showing very clean Bultacos on engine stands. Nows the chance to prove you get 'em dirty! Lets see your action shots. I'll kick off with a couple from last weekends Jersey Classic & Modern Trials Club 2Day. Which incidentally was an extremely well organised event, with top names including Steve Saunders, Mick Grant, Becky Talbot nee Cook & Ross Danby.

Can anybody tell me if my wiring might be the cause of not cranking up? Ok black, yellow, and green r coming out of motor. When I got this bike there was no switches on it at all, no kill switch no headlight switch and no wires to tail light. Green coming from motor I got hooked to green wire that runs to that little grounding place under seat, black wire coming from motor I got hooked to coil wire and the yellow I got hooked to nothing. What is the two wires running from grounding place under seat?

Hello! I'm restaurating a Sherpa 199B. The betor shock absorbers are completly damaged. So i have to look for new one. The length of the original betors are mounted on my bike is 345mm. I have found pretty shocks on web called BBS-competition. But they only available in 340mm or 360mm length. What do you think is better 340mm or 360mm? Dose the 360mm shocks fit the 199B? Have any classic-freaks experience with the BBS-competition? Thanks for your answer!

Does someone have a parts diagram or picture of the front brake cable connection to the brake for a 71 Alpina? A picture of what I have is below. I would expect some type of clamp or threaded piece to hold the cable but there is just a little bracket with a hole. Does the cable just float on top? Am I missing something? I'm not sure what to make of this. Thanks!!

HI guys, Does any one know of an engineer in the bristol area who would take on small jobs. I am on about silly small jobs that you can do at home with a lathe and a piller drill. the problem is that i have never used a lathe and i have not god the money to buy a decent one. All i need is the odd bush to be made or a spacer rather then 20 odd washers. Whilst i am on the topic how does one learn to use such equipment, I know you gents more then likely learnt at school however i am of the generation where we had to learn sewing and cookery at school rather then skills that are usefull in life. ( just to let you know i could cook a fry up before school taught me how to b…

Hi Guy's I've completed crank and sprocket seals on the ignition side , so moved to primary side crank seals, Ive removed Fly wheel nut, but no way will that clutch centre nut move. Iv'e had a clutch holder on, tried my impact tool, large socket wrench bar, wont move. just to check, anti-clockwise to undo ? any idea's. All so the primary chain with tensioner removed, the chain will lift about 25-30 mm up with slack from the underside, is this excessive. by the way Woody, your clutch spring pin tool worked a treat Thanks

Hello, I liberated a M27 in what I now know is an early M49 frame from 35 years slumber in an open fronted cow shed. The rebuilds coming along now with just one major component missing. The exhaust front pipe. Does the M27 and M49 use the same pipe? Where on earth do I get one? (in motion can't help). Happy days Peter
