For my M92 project I have the offer of a barely used Dellorto, from a 2003 Gas Gas pro 300. I havent got it to measure yet but I think the spiggot OD is 31mm. Does anyone know if this is right and what carb rubber I need to fit to the two stud amal fitting? Does anyone in the UK sell a rubber for an amal to dellorto conversion? Cheers Hoodie.

Hi folks, i'm about to purchase a sherpa M125 in a weeks time, so excited! Been riding monos for the last 15 years. Now i'm going back to twinshocks where i started in the mid 70s. Even thinking in entering into classic trials! I've some questions for you, if I may. The bike i'm planning to buy was rebuilt some 7/8 years ago but has been unused for the last 5 years, kept indoors. Just wonder if that could cause any problems. Havent seen the bike yet (looks pretty good in pics). The owners tells me that everything is fine but the rear wheel which is a bit twisted. Here is my new (to me) bike. It is a 77 350 model 159. It is not pretty but it runs well and will be a good practice bike while I work on it to get it safe and reliable. Since I took this pic it has new fenders and throttle. I had to clean the mag and replace the points because of rust but it now has good spark. I am really enjoying it and am looking forward to doing some vintage trials next season. I hope the pic loads Sam

Hi All, Just aquired a Bultaco 198-A I think? to restore. I was told by the seller that the bike has been in a shed for 30 years [And it looks like it]. I am after confimration of which model I have got and a few other questions. The frame Number is RB 198 03580-A Engine number is RM 198 03580-A There are no bottom frame tubes but a factory looking alloy bash plate fitted. Also the rear frame tube is missing and looks as if it is an original alteration. It looks like the 199A Bultaco on the In motion Bike ID page. Curious if trials bikes use a different handle bar than say an MX bike? Are they taller or the same?

Hi all, Just aquired a Frontera 250cc/152, can't get a spark at all. Eventually after various tests I swapped over the stator from the Sherpa 92 and it sparked straight away. The frontera stator is gummy, dusty and covered in rust and sand. my question is: can I leave the Sherpa stator on? - they both look the same, both have lighting coils. Is there a performance difference between the two - between a revver and a slogger? Thanks Paul

Got a set of stainless spokes from Inmotion and i cannot build the wheel same 2 cross patern that was the way it was when i took it apart. They say the spokes are for 3 cross patern . Can any post a picture of 3 cross patern so i can copy. Thank you

have had this in the shed for 20 odd years. i know that it is a M92 engine, and i think that it is a model 159 frame, the swing arm has been beefed up/modified. i have been told that the tank is a commerford aftermarket tank. Can anyone confirm my thoughts?

I purchased a Sherpa last year with the intention of restoring as I have done a fair few in the past. I am just looking for a little advice as to the definite year/model as there are a few things puzzling me. To start off the bike is sat in a frame believed to be SM but can not confirm, the original frame is supplied which is numbers matching to the engine. Engine JM-19906685-A Frame JB-19906685-A The Number of the frame the bike is currently sat in is 685, no letters just the three numbers and looks to be chrome. I've just put the clutch back together after fitting new main seals, etc. When setting the tension on the clutch springs, how far do I tighten the nuts? I have assumed the tops of the pins and nuts are level, but is this about right?

I have a 1974 Bultaco Model 125. But I see that they made three models during that year, the 92, 125 and 133. I can't see any glaring difference, does anyone know what the differences were?

Having sorted carburation and airfilter out, my bike developed a miss fire at the end of the last session. Sure it's ignition not had chance to have a look (bike's at work will get cover off on Monday) though remember seeing it had a femsa coil. What options are they for upgrading? seen the 'eletrexworld' kits and know other companies sell other versions, what have most of you converted to?. Or should I sort what I've got, check wiring, condenser etc? I use to race two strokes and had lots of trouble till I converted to Motoplat/PVL type, then just set the timing and forgot about it Also what's the timing setting for my model either in MM or Thous BTD? hello guys i have recently taken up trials riding and upgraded the old lady (sherpa 350)as best i can and she has become a phoenix its just me that's rubbish,the question i have, apparently my handlebars are like a"" heiland coo!!""so i chopped an inch and a half off each side , much better but an told still wrong angle ,i have decided to buy a renthal bar with a height of 5.5 inch,does this sound like a reasonable idea ,the frame is 159,regards Murray

ok, I haven't but hopefully the title will have caught the eye of Andy or one of the administrators. If so, I am still trying to contact the seller of the Bultaco advertised on 1 October in the classifieds. There is no phone number or email in the ad and I have no idea if the contact seller function is working. It seems to do nothing. Are there any recommendations for the torque of the front sprocket nut? Its a M24 but only 6.5mm thick. Mine was a little bit loose a bit but the security plate hold it in place. Now I would like to here some practical recommendations. Spec's in Nm if possible. Thank's in advance. Patrik
