Hello everyone. What is the current state of Ossa parts and part availability for used bikes, worldwide Especially in the U.S.??? As a bike dealer I ask this in regards to taking a 2014 300 In on trade. With Ossa being no more how is that effecting the overall re sale of a non existent manufacturer??? Any input would be sweet!!!! Thanks Andy

I recently heard from a friend who said he heard from a reputable source that OSAA is going out of business. Story is that GasGas had purchased Ossa some time ago and had been having trouble. They can not afford to save both brands. Anyone have any info on this? I LOVE my Ossa and can't imaging anyone letting all the R&D that went into creating this fine machine go to waste! If it happens, what about parts, re-sale value, etc. Input?

I know i`ve probably bored everyone by now but when I removed the tank today I noticed it had what looks like two tank stops on the top tube. I`ve never seen these before and thought it might be a clue as to who made the frame. Any info on the frame or bike would be gratefully received.

Hey Guy's, Just got myself a ossa 250 MAR after spending the last 30 years riding currenty bikes (fancied a project). However, I want to trick it up for a more modern riding style (move footrests down a fraction and tighten up the steering geometry. I'm a good rider and not bothered about class entry will be riding it in what ever trial. Has anybody done it to a MAR any pics you can share. Thanks in advance. Tim

My 250 almost always requires 2 kicks. If I stop and immediately restart, 1 kick will usually do. But if it's stopped long enough to walk a section, it will probably require 2 kicks to restart. One the other hand, if the bike has been sitting for months it may start on a single kick. My 280 is somewhat more recalcitrant. It probably takes an average of 2.5 kicks. I have some theories as to why this might be so, but I'm wondering if others have managed to make theirs a 1-kick starter. This really doesn't matter during practice or if ridden as a trail bike, but during a competition it saps my limited energy. Both bikes have Easy-Start kits. I'm a bit of a l…

Tearing down a 76 MAR and having trouble getting the threaded ring that holds the head pipe to the cylinder off. I've sprayed it with penetrating oil then hit it with a punch and hammer...no go. Assume it's a right hand thread but didn't want to bash on it too much in case it isn't. Not only does the threaded ring seem to be seized in the barrel, the pipe itself is loose. Perhaps there's a gasket missing or long since blown out? Heat and cool it with a propane torch maybe would loosen it up? Any tips out there?

Got a bit of a problem with my 2012 tr280i, for the last couple Of weeks after I've ridden and washed it off, I leave it to warm Up and I've notice the breather pipe from down near the gear Lever has oil coming out of it, the last time it had its oil changed Was back end of last year when it had a spring replaced in the Gearbox at my dealers. The only thing I've done different was Last week at a trial I had to lay it down a couple of times not Totally flat and from memory I laid it down on the rear brake Side. Jsp

  11. Anyone thought of studding their tyres on their TR-series for some more serious winter fun? I have many frozen lakes around for sliding practice, plus my own garden to play, both are very icy and slippery during the winter. With stock trails tyres it's too much slipping, especially the front end. So I though studding the tyres. Anyone done this on a trails bike? I see many kits around - screw-in type of studs. I guess the problem is the rear since it's tubless (albeit tube can be fit there too I reckon).

picked up a lightly used 12 280i. first ride 15 minutes in bike dies like i hit the kill button. now shows no sign of wanting to run. even 5th gear bump starts on a big hill. bikes seems to have spark but maybe intermittent? pull fuel line of injector and fuel pumping is pumping. very quickly regretting this purchase. anyone got any ideas on where to start looking?

Well, I heard another rumor that OSSA may be back before next winter with 2018 bikes! of course, it is always 'we will see' but this one seems it could have a bit more truth than some. Anyone heard anything lately? Mark

I recently added a trail tech in coolant temperature sensor to my 2014 Ossa TRi 250, I am seeing coolant temperatures of 220 to 230 degrees F during extended climbs of 1000 to 2000 feet at 5000 ft elevation. Can any Ossa owners confirm the coolant temperatures they see during high load operation. New cooling fan, radiator clean, fan relay good, fan turns on at about 160 and off at 155. No lifting of radiator cap relief, idle speed drops about 200 rpm at elevated temperature. See coolant temperatures of about 150 to 170 during normal trials riding activity.

Apologies, however i am new to the trials bike world. I have got a 1975 MAR 250, it was my godfathers and he passed away last year so i am rebulding it as he wanted to do. I currently have it stripped down and have sourced most parts i need (InMotion - Great service). Just a few questions, i need the crank rebuilding, is this something that can be done at home (i am an engineer and my dad is a mechanic) or is it a specialist job? If so does anyone have any recommendations of companies to do this work? Also i am still short of a few parts, these being: Cush Drive Nut Exhaust header pipe. (must be in good nick as i am aiming for i high standard finish) Rear brake pe…
