Vertigo

  1. Started by evo boy,

I'm thinking about a Vertigo but not sure about a 250 or 300. I test rode the 2017 250 ice hell on the test day which was nice. They didnt have a 300 to try as something was wrong with it. I managed to grab a very quick ride on 2016 300 combat wasn't 100% sure if I liked it but I been told the 2017 300's have been calmed down a bit. So not sure what to go for now.

Hi all With the lack of 2017 250 Ice Hell and Fajardo reps on the market, i’m now looking at Verticals, mainly a 300 that I can pick up at a good price. I understand that in general, if you’re any less than a pro, you should stick with the 250’s. I’m a 26yr old clubman level rider just getting back into trials after a few years out, and wondering what peoples thoughts are on the 250 vs 300? Are the 300’s a real monster to deal with or is there just a load of controllable torque? Has anybody got experience of softening a 300 vertigo with the slow throttle, fly wheel weight and/or low compression head insert? Of course, I could just get the WiFiCo…

Is the Vertigo Vertical Combat 250 too much bike for a beginner trials rider? Novice dirt bike rider, 185 lbs.

I'm currently looking at a Vertigo Ice Hell 300 and i was wondering if it would be too powerful and too difficult to maintain by myself. I am a 6ft, 11St, 16 year old who is riding at a good green - course level at all clubs. Do people think it would be too powerful even if it had really low gears and on mapping setting 3? Any advice would be really useful ?

Mine has been ordered, and is supposedly "being shipped real soon". I am wondering how others owners/potential owners across the pond are getting along.

Took my Combat out today - it ran faultlessly for 2 hours and then intermittently coughed and popped and generally ran poorly before clearing itself. This happened about 5 times and It remained a bit hit and miss for the rest of the day. Having got it home and washed it off it ran for a minute before dying and now wont start. Is there a way to reset them and has anyone else had any teething problems?

So on the GG Racing models that ship now, they come with a bearing cup in the throttle side to prevent that bar-on-handlebar drag you'd get when doing anything where you're putting a lot of pressure on the grips. It's a nice feature, but if you want to keep it, you can't run bar ends. Curious if the Vertigo has anything like this on the throttle side?

Ive a 2016 300 combat still with a battery. Has anyone on here done the batterless mod? Wonder if its worth it, what difference it made and how hard is it to fit?

I collect my 2017 Combat Camo this weekend and wondered what owners think is the best way to mount a number board? Or is it better to just tape the number over the light?

Result says it all, surely good news for UK trials with DLs connections. Only one 5 in a very stiff trial and the bike still under development? A new benchmark!

Dibs is off to pastures new leaving a gap in the BTC field. If Dougie replaces him who do you think would be the natural choice. Jack Price is probably tied up by GasGas but there is Jack Sheppard who has shown the resilience and determination to continue riding despite a few bad years and has produced some good results at that level. Other prospect include The Peace's, Iwan Roberts and Toby Martin. Anybody else come to mind. Of course Fajardo could run in the BTC as well as the Spanish Championship and WTC but that might be asking a bit much!

I'm thinking of buying a 300 ice hell second hand, is there anything to look out for on second hand vertigos, Or common problems?

  19. Started by BallisticBob,

When i got the bike it started up on the first kick then i rode a bit ad killed it with the kill cord that goes around your arm (it replaces the stop button). 20 seconds later i tried starting it up and it took a good 12 or more kicks to get it going but i was using the same technique. I rode for 10 and killed it again (same way). And i couldn't get it started again,no matter what i tried it wouldn't make a noise. The next day I would try it again but nothing. The dealer came and picked it up, the next they they were able to start it perfectly.... Has anyone else had this problem, or am I too weak to start the bike? xd

Could someone take a peek at how much clearance they have between the chain tensioner bolt where it screws into the swingarm and the chain itself? Mine was rubbing, and I'm assuming I bent the tensioner, but I don't see any obvious damage.
