  1. Yikes Gizza they are louder than a 4RT !
  2. When papa was importing the original JCMs and I was a younger version of the gobsh*te I currently am i did point out that JCM stood for Jesus Christ Motorcycles........ and before anybody corrects me yes I do realise its Joel Corroy Motorcycles or Moto. Despite being called Joel he didnt appear to be Supermans dad when i met him ? keep the faith Wayne !
  3. I've got an 06 trafic lwb but fitted my own seats (or rather CB Motors did) I meaured the floor area so that the seats were as far back as possible from the front seats but still allowing enough space for 3 bikes in the back. I'd recommend doing it this way as you end up with 5 or 6 seats and load space you want. Its not as easy to insure but Adrian Flux have insured mine at about £450 from memory, i was paying almost the same for the S reg master I had before the trafic so i'm happy enough with the insurance cost and the van does what I need it to do.
  4. Excluding the Toni Bou Class which country has won the most 125, junior and european championships in recent years ? probably Spain or UK I would think. Ok maybe not this year for Euro as neither Shepard or Jonathan Rich rode round 1 but hopefully they will both be fit for first WTC round. I'm sure Theirry Michaud was asking what the UKs secret was a couple of years ago.
  5. Entry forms are now available and will shortly be on the Trials Central Calender, Bedlington Motor Club Facebook page and Bedlington Motor Club Website http://www.bedlingtonmotorclub.co.uk I have visited the venue last weekend and we now have a further 10 sections on the existing land compared to last year. We are due to have a look around the adjoining forest at the end of May ( most of the club members are in either SSDT or Pre 65 SSDT mode at present !) but as it stands we have sufficient sections for two laps of 20 different sections each day. Once the weather improves we will provide some pics of the new stuff. If you search TC archives for Alwinton you will find the results from last year with photos by Ray Crinson which will provide a good insight into the quality of the location. Hope to hear form you soon !
  6. did some investigating today and started by cutting a v shape out of the pipe in the prescribed place as my new sherco had ran lean on a couple of steeper sections last week . I thought given the pilot jet is in front of the main jet that perhaps float hieght was wrong but the cut in the pipe was easy to try first. I did the cut then put the bike on the rear wheel with the front up against a wall and after 15 seconds or so bike started to run lean. So stripped carb and checked float per Beta guidance in the Beta forum, my floats were parralel when the carb was upside down rather than at 45 degrees so adjusted carb and bike seems ok but will know better tomorrow.
  7. sold that carb a couple of years ago unfortunately. keihin on my new sherco doesnt have this feature. ta anyway
  8. hi copey keihin make a carb with those vents for the mx boys. bought one used off an rm85 a while ago. going to make the v cut in the keihin breather on my sherco and see if it works the same.
  9. if its doing it constantly the float level is wrong, however the keihin does spill fuel when the bike is on a gradient. this is normal
  10. Buy Domino grips, the end part is much thicker than renthal and will stand a number of impacts before ripping.I had bar ends on at the six days a couple of years ago, the trouble is after a couple of days grit and water gets in the gap between the plug and the end of the throttle tube and you have to keep cleaning it so I went back to domino grips.
  11. A friend of mine has the wulf ones ok so far but only 3 months old. Forma are similar to diadora which seemed alright.
  12. Last year Bedlington Motor Club ran the first Alwinton two day trial. Dates have recently been agreed by the North East Centre and this year the trial will take place on the 8th and 9th September. Last years event was enjoyed by many and consisted of three laps of 15 sections on the saturday and two laps of twenty sections on the sunday, all entirely off road. Members of the club have recently been back to the venue and found another 5 brand new sections, there are probabaly more. Discussions have also commenced with the Forestry Commission who have expressed interest in allowing the trial to use part of the neighbouring forest. The club are yet to get into the forest to see whats there but we are now working on the basis of 2 laps 20 sections each day and possibly a single lap sunday if we have enough observers and sections. The use of the forest may allow us to take out the difficult descent which was part of the course last year and proved difficult for some competitiors. Accomodation in the area includes a hotel and a number of B&Bs within a mile of the start. In addition an adjacent farm has promised to allow us to use a field for camping and caravans following some unsatisfactory experience for some competitors last year with the local camp site. If there is enough demand we will look into a water supply and an arrangement with the hotel for the use of toilets or the hire of a toilet block. Regulations and accomodation lists for the area will be issued shortly and will be in the TC calender and on the bedlington motor club website. If you dont know the area take a look at the photos on the Bedlington Motor Club facebook page, if you have never been to the area get the dates in your diary now, you will be more than welcome ! Further updates will be posted to this thread in due course.
  13. no cabestany in numbered list ?
  14. Will there be enough bikes to justify a rider ?
  15. No the point i'm making is that section doesnt need a minder. There will have been plenty minding in the past, certainly had others catching for me before and ive done it for others when requested in s3 rounds. Nobody needs a catcher for the secyion in the video though.
  16. This thread seems to have moved on from the original topic. there have been some comments about the section being boring to watch,I rode the wallace once, apart from Seymours arena that looks like a fairly typical wallace section. Not being critical here but thats the terrain in the area. I'd like to point out two things about the section and how good it is to watch. 1. Trials even at S3 Champs level isnt really a spectator sport, it never has been. The SSDT has a one off atmosphere, the Scott has the time element but generally watching trials below champ level is pretty dull for me and I love trials. The point is though we need more competitors not necessarily more spectators which brings me to point number 2. 2. Depending on the observer that section took 5s off some of the best riders in the country, there was no kicker, no minder attached to a rope, no third gear splat up some cliff. The point is most of us could attempt that section with no risk of injury but it was hard enough to take marks off most of the entry. This is exactly the reason why I think we need no stop, the videos demonstrate how difficult it is to ride no stop therefore reducing the section severity required and allowing more to compete. We should also bear in mind that the event is for the S3 championship competitors, it may appear to easy for some but I think the championship is aimed at a broader cross section of rider. People such as Alex and Ross Danby are really guests at the event as they are too good for the S3 championship, maybe though a couple of harder sections wouldnt have been a bad thing.
  17. So to answer the original question Alex should have lost more marks than Dan and therefore should not have won the trial.
  18. 2012 has a fuel tap now which may include a guaze filter anyway. prob no need for another
  19. Bobby Brown has been found dead this morning in a hotel room. Apparently he left a note saying two can play that game....
  20. Or if your income is based on competing in the wtc name one current rider who wont compete ? In fact lose top 5 ease severity of sections problem solved !
  21. I think its become a bit dull really and needs some new types of sections. I watch the supercross from the states on motors and looking at that there must be potential for more natural sections rather than painted metal everywhere.
  22. Robbie williams track called no regrets does not apply to the banana suit incident..... never dare a fool.
