Hi if you fancy a good ride on sunday bradford & district have a beginners & novice trial on at glusburn nice steady sections 10.30am start
-
i had the raptor hangers on my 05 rev3 and the chain doesn't rub against it like the standard hangers amd the standard footrests will fit ok
-
because of the problem with his bike he was 25 minutes late on his first lap, so unfortunately he was excluded from the results which is a shame as he was having a good ride
-
try trials uk website , or jk hursts in bradford or even try ringing j lampkins hes the importer of BETA
-
dont mess about with the loose exhaust packing contact J LAMPKINS and get the preformed insert from them very quick to change and will make sure your bike runs correctly after,,,, have a look at the thread about this last week on overpacking the silencer
-
personally i think that the Observer in question should be named and shamed for there actions, and hopefully they wont bother to HELP out again, or should i say HINDER !!!! at any trials again, No CoC should ever be put in this position by a offical at any level of trials, and i for one certainly woudn't want this observer helping out at any trials when im the CoC at any of our trials.
-
Nah just the 20 milk bottle tops should be enough and then you might get some change
-
IT WILL BE HIS LAST INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP RIDE ,,,,,A VERY RELIABLE SOURCE HAS TOLD ME THAT HE WONT BE RIDING THE INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP NEXT YEAR OTHER THAN SHEFFIELD
-
LOOKS LIKE FLEABAY HAS PULLED THIS ADVERT,,,, IT NOW SAYS ENDED,,, HOPEFULLY PC PLOD HAS CAUGHT UP WITH THEM
-
I was there observing on section 1 yes some of the sections were huge !!! extremely large rocks with very high drop offs, triple steps and extremely high and steep climbs not for the faint hearted !!! should have seen dibs fire his mont over a 12 foot gap from a standing start it was awsome certainly suprised me as all other riders dropped into gap and back up other side and just to show it wasnt a fluke he did it again on second lap, number 1 for biggest b---s, browny rode very well to beat Dibs and what i saw of Morris it looked like he was having a very bad day at the office, it should make a good venue for the world round but needs some variounce in the sections and they will need stiffening up by some degree to make it a truely world class event, also Graham Jarvis and the people behind him did a good job on Saturday in organising this trial, but it will show them that there is an awfull lot of work to be done at the venue for the world round to work as well as Hawkstone parc
-
ive had a SCORPA and it was a cracking bike very reliable with a bullet proof engine better bike to learn on than GASGAS but best bet is ride all makes and see what you like best
-
Rain just wasn't the word the only part of me that wasn't wet after closing the course was my undercrackers especially as we found the very last bog on the way back to wilk's i coudn't see my front wheel it was that deep i ended up over knee deep in the smelly C--- !! BY THE WAY YOUNG DANNY GAMBLE won the trial excellent result for the young lad he beat some big names
-
it might be a good idea to ban anyone found given serious verbal abuse to a observer, for 12 months from competing in all forms of trials by taking there ACU number away. extremely difficult to police, but it mght make a few riders think before they start ranting over a score given by the observer
speaking of observers anybody going to the experts trial at Penrith as they are short of this rare breed !!!!
-
Bennets insured my 05 rev3 for
-
best bet is give lampkins a ring they will have them on stock and they do mail order at least this way you will get the correct parts and they wont be very expensive
-
60042rs bearings no extra seals required just pack with good quality waterproof grease
-
try J K HURST'S in bradford very good for yamha spares or nigel birketts also very good
-
HERE IS ONE OF DOUG AT HAWKSTONE IN 05
-
nearly all beta's do this you can either put a couple of washers between the silencer and the frame to move the exhaust over a bit or just bend the bracket slightly on the frame if you go for the second option be careful.
-
get some trials boots even if you dont ride many trials, as stated in other replies mx boots have a much smoother sole and are far too rigid
-
i use a good quality chain and padlock which is used to fasten all the bikes together and a ground anchor concreted into floor, garage is also alarmed and ive got cctv linked up to my computer, and always park car right upto garage door, but if the thieving scum want your bikes enough the will get them no matter what you do
-
50% hard course and 50% clubman course, i was observing a section at bradford yesterday and the rear shock on Jakes bike looked to be in serious trouble after he was munching all them pies but give him credit well done for second place.
-
yes the disc should have slight movement they are called floating discs
-
Hi There find out your local clubs and go and have a look at what levels of trials they run lots of clubs run beginner and novice trials which are aimed at riders who are just starting out. You will need to join a club and then get your ACU licence before you are able to compete.
-
Have you checked that the rim tape isn't leaking and the valve is ok ? i run back tyre as little as 3 psi and it stays up no problem
