Probably just the wrong bushings on the shock, but as above a little grinding will do. You might try the bushings off the other shock.

Arnoux is correct. Lube it, then hit the back portion of the key and the front will pop right out!

This has several threads. http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/60870-new-to-me-1986-tlr200/There is no magical cheap carb fix. Several sites in the UK claim to have pre jetted carbs. The best fix is to properly jet the stock carb as both links have that info. The stock carb is lean on both the main and pilot.

The best sounding bike ever was a XR750 flat tracker. My roommate just happened to leave his for about 6 months while out of state. The neighbors would be annoyed around midnight about once a month, no lights, no front brake and fast as hell. Nothing like a full field of Harley`s running around a mile dirt track!

I am not surprised they were missing. People were stealing the old AJP`s off everything when the new bikes came out with the Formula`s and the first batch of Brak Tech master cylinders. Good luck on the pet cock.

Fantics have been around forever. You would have to post location to get real help.
-
You wasted your money on the new masters. Nothing wrong with the originals. Maybe a rebuild kit. The Section was actually a fun bike.
-
The `02 is pretty outdated. A lot of parts are no longer available. A good running one would be 1500 - 1800. At 2500, I would save a few more dollars and get a later model. 2010-2012. At the same time, I loved my 2002. But it was new.
-
Assuming you have disassembled and soaked the whole body and parts in a carb cleaner overnight or more? Do you have all the parts for the slide, etc. The needle itself could be moving.
-
Every bike in `93 had a coolant reservoir.
-
Take an once of anti freeze and add a few drops of oil.

No. you cut off about an inch from the long side. Use a wrench or a socket with the universal joint. Easy peasy if you have a cut off wheel/grinder or a chop saw! Think out of the box.

Here is a thread with many opinions. Watch for the link in it from the Hell Team.

Sounds like they re used the o rings and barely pinched one. Keeps one busy.

Cut off an allen key and use a wrench on it.

Try to ride something that your mind can see the possibility of death. It`s far easier in trials to do that than going fast. Going fast and fear has to deal with the sudden stop. Trials is the death defying ride. Speed not needed.
-
So did the head come off during the rebuild? ( The head never really has to come off)
-
The slower gearing will help slow the crashes. I`ve seen guys all my life come out and ride almost anything, (Once) and never see them again. Trials is about turns and obstacles. Any bike will roll over anything. They all have the same things in common. Tires, handlebars and foot pegs. You either learn how to do it correctly or quit (crash) and fade into a memory.
-
With a 9, you just have to gas it more. With the 10 you need to use just a tad more clutch. You could of kept the stock gearing, but then you would have to make the clutch work better. Second with the nine is the same issue, just get the clutch working a bit better. (Plenty of threads on this too.)

The Montesa requires an 1800 rpm idle. No getting around that.
-
I actually had a new set of Dunlaps ready to be mounted and ran out of time. I do not think the new tires would have made a difference in my score, and yes we had a little mud as the sections were following a canyon with a stream.
-
I just rode the National in Colorado in the Vintage Twinshock class on a 1976 Cota 348. The old Michilen was splitting cross wise on the knobs about 1/3 of the tire. So about 12 really bad cracks. I cleaned 28 of 36 sections. New tires are over rated.
-
I`ve been doing it since 1970 (And today too) I`ll be doing it this way till I can`t ride, which means I`m dead.
