  1. I believe there was a slot in the original chain guard that it slid through instead of more bolts.
  2. Proper body English is the most important part of turns. It does not matter what bike, it is the same regardless.
  3. It is not going to matter much which throttle tube you use, the engine response is slow.
  4. http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/61301-water-in-oil-even-after-replacing-water-pump-shaft-and-seal/page-2#entry433115
  5. Actually if you could have someone film you doing turns, it might just reveal what you are doing wrong.
  6. Well on the plus side, that is the correct side to dab. Usually it`s all mental, you are giving up before the turn. Safety dab every time. Good luck on that.
  7. How do I know, bought one for my wife and it broke. So I bought two springs and two gasket sets. I still have not seen another one break. That was 15+ years now. I still have that spare!

    300Rr Clutch

Wasting time pulling springs, they WILL slip if you actually ride it. We have 3 2016`s std`s and the clutch pull is fine. The trick is for better leverage and/or small hands is to slowly trim the push pin until you get it where it is right for you. Very simple to do, and costs nothing, unless you need a new pin. All three riders have done this mod. Personally I prefer it almost stock, but just throwing this out there as it does work.
  9. If everything else looks good, I would go ahead and pull it. It really does not take much to cause a lot of grief. You usually will know on how easy it comes out.
  10. HMMn, Pretty sure I got that picture off a Gas Gas update from Trialspartsusa years ago and it`s never failed me.
  11. Honda out did themselves on this one. To replace the spring it`s a whole engine rebuild. Hopefully you can find something binding within the cover.
  12. Depends on what brand of tire. Always helps to let it sit a couple of days with either blocks or a tube in it.

    Hot Gasgas

Dumping into the cylinder and dumping into the tranny is two different problems. Good luck.
  14. Just burn it out. Start a slow burn with a torch at one end, once burning continue with just a small amount of oxygen. You can see it`s progress from the outside of the pipe. Needless to say, do it in an open area away from the neighbors. Would not worry about the inner pipe.
  15. Remember that is 4 days of work for the show, which takes away a lot of hours elsewhere.
  16. Did you get the KS timed correctly?
  17. Got to be a reason the PHB26 was the popular choice. Never had a problem with them. Only time I have worked on the VHST I could not get pilot jets. But that was long ago.
  18. Wrong Cope. It is very confusing since they have changed the vacuum in `14 to the center case on the left side. Since they did this the new manifolds come plugged even though the bung still is there. The `15 would be easy to do with the manifold and shorter cable. You also need this weird shaped adapter for the air box as the Del orto is smaller at both ends. The 13 would be hard because you need a vacuum port on the manifold. Unless you got lucky and found old stock. I just converted a `12 250 to a Keihin, I was p****d as it should have been pretty simple. The 13 would need manifold 3154, cable C076 and adapter 2369. Good luck on the manifold being a bolt on item.
  19. Main jet is not even close at half that size. You might check your eyeballs.
  20. It happens, but usually the cause is the push pin is adjusted to far in and it pinches the rubber.
  21. Funny, I was just working on a fairly new bike today that was four stroking at idle. The rod for the choke was bent just enough not to let it sink home. Good luck on your problem.
  22. You do see the locating pins and the rings have to fit the ends at the pins.
  23. Are you wearing trials boots? It`s hard to find with stiff boots.
  24. With noise and irregular running and age, it might need mains and seals. Normal for a two stroke.
