It`s not the tire, it`s the rim. But it`s cheaper to buy the tire. We have 4 2016`s at work with Dunlops and have never had a flat.
-
You do know that the pilot flows through two different holes. One directly in the bottom of the slide and one in front of the slide, both have to be clear.
-
Clean the pilot circuit in the carb. The pilot jet is probably plugged.

Remember if you do the same thing over and over and get the same results, try a different approach.
-
Read the manual and you will see it`s std on these bikes. A meter is best, but by ear it`s a too fast idle. I don`t ride one, but we have 8 of them at work.
-
Nothing wrong with the maps. Are you running the 1800 rpm idle speed. That`s usually the problem.
-
First off I hope you did not get oil on the fresh pads. If you did they are ruined. So put the old pads back in until you get it bleed. Take the caliper off the bike and bleed it with a clear hose. Hang the caliper high and keep the m/c at the lowest point. You might have to stop and refill the m/c. Remember to put something between the pad s so the pucks do not push out. This is the best way to get all the air out. You can take the whole thing off the bike and hang it in your garage.
-
If it`s the S3, make sure you drive the nuts home (Flat). As one local did not and ruined his stator. I installed it the second time around.
-
I`m just the opposite with my son. Just out of High school and going to college. We are having the time of our lives, now that he is no longer doing team sports. (Mom`s plans) We both won our class this year and camp 2 to 5 days a month. Probably do about 25 events this year!
-
All the auto`s suck. Don`t waste your time. The ty 80 works until he is big enough for a Beta 80.
-
You tube it, we will watch in awe. But, I would have just bought another bike.
-
Actually I think the Beta is the better bike if you are riding with a modern club. I think you should keep both, that way you should always have one running, The Fantic will sell quick and the Beta might never sell. I`ve had a TR33 for sale for over a year and no takers.
-
I`d put the Beta up for sale and if it did not sell, keep both.
-
With the age groups, he must be asking how many years of trials we have been riding. Our club probably has almost 20% in each age group.
-
Sounds like the clutch plates are just stuck. Rock it back and forth before you start it or ride with the clutch in, while braking till the clutch works.
-
Great place for a wedding, I was expecting an afternoon trials!
-
This is probably not easy or cheap. The magnesium case has probably eaten through and you need new center cases. So take apart the water pump first to see if the case is ruined. On the positive side I saved one using JB weld and lots of patience. Good Luck.
-
That`s basically why you see the minders riding the same bike as the competitors, Instant spare parts. It makes sense if you are chasing the Nationals, but not so much the local events. My employer always brings two spare bikes and he rides 4RT`s.
-
Yeah, that was an old pic as that bike now has a proper exhaust. Yes we ran one rim lock in each with a set of Dunlop 803`s. You need a 9t cs or a 48 rear. Lot`s of better parts deals in the UK. http://www.thetwinshockshop.co.uk/parts.php or in motion. There are many others too. Just get a good skid plate as the stocker does not do much good. B and J racing in the states have parts too, but the deals are in the UK for now.

If you want to learn some skills ride the Techno. Sounds like you want to make a pig look pretty. http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/fun-with-outright-junk.562129/ Here is a pic of one I helped to build. Still a pig.
-
The 4RT does not track near as good as you would expect, and does not turn as well than most. It is a thirteen year old design. A Beta 200 is the best clubman bike for a lower score. Though for some owning the 4Rt is a good investment in their mind. I would love to have a 300 RR, just cannot justify it.
-
The question is are they a trials bend.
-
The only time most people have trouble with the kick start lever is when they can`t get it off. It is actually a clever design, since you just loosen the bolt about two turns and open the lever and it pries itself off the shaft. The bushing holds it in straight so it aligns going together. Ever figure out the seal? New seal install correctly should stop the leaking, unless something is wrong with the shaft on the inside of the motor.
