New rider, lots of help required
The Beta 300 turns better, has better ground clearance. Build quality is just as good as the Montesa. My son had one with a full arrow exhaust, which made in run real good. The Beta carb is a pain to work on. I had to rejet constantly. We ride from 2500ft to over 10,000 ft, so as a Dad I talked my son into the Montesa. Mainly because my fingers don`t work like they used too. Less labor is better at this point of my life.

The real good riders do not need a kicker!

REV 3 Inner Clutch Cover Replacement
I fixed one worse than that on a zero. I used JB weld. Last time I saw that bike run was about the ten year mark from when I fixed it. But if it was MY bike, I would replace the case while you could still get parts.

260 is the new std on Montesa. Otherwise they are pushing 300`s.

A standard Beta 250, since you have not ridden in a long time. It is the most forgiving. The standard Montesa would be next, but is not as forgiving as you would think. The electric start TRS could be a consideration, but everything happens faster on this bike.

Blip, Zap, Splat
Your film is correct, but what you wrote on here is wrong. Splat is short for splatter, because if you miss you will be splattered all over the ground! The zap came along when our suspensions were not as good as today. The double blip was just an extension of the roll up. The roll up will get you over 90% of what mere mortals ride as long as you `kiss` the front tire off the top of the obstacle to clear the skid plate.

4rt died half way though trial.
Usually the problem is a new owner. What have you done to it? Turn the idle up and try it again.

I need help fixing my bike
I have no idea what bike you have. The jet depends on the bike. Running witjout the main should not have harmed it.

2010 Sherco 250 ST
They run a vacuum fuel pump. Take off the rear fender for a good look.

Electrical Wiring - In General
The wire for the condenser should come from the coil wire. Colors mean nothing on Spanish bikes.

Electrical Wiring - In General
If red is going to black it should be fine.

I need help fixing my bike
You need a diagram of the carb with all the pieces. Take it back apart and see if everything is there. I bet you dropped the needle jet.

Gearbox Help Required 2008 270
I would assume it would be number one. Did you not take a pic before you took it apart? You should also be able to spin the shafts before you reassemble and see it work.

Getting a MAR ready for first event in two weeks.
Feetupfun is right on the money moving the wiring. This is the first thing you should do before you ride it!

90,s vs 00,s how much better??
You could say everything 2002 and newer could be viewed as Modern in the trials world. Anything from`89 to 2000 was the first decade of water cooled bikes. So alot of learning and development through those years.

My first gasgas - questions
You need to pull the clutch cover and pull out the center bolt of the clutch basket and make sure it is a hollow bolt. That is the engine vent and you have to have the cltch basket in specs.
