Hi, I am trying to find contact details of the Cotswold twinshock motorcycle builder, Jon Bliss I think. Thanks.

I loved that Whitehawk That's a certain (present day) bike importer in the background who was helping out at a training weekend on the land under the original Severn Bridge. Fairly sure it was Gwent STC who organised it.

While my TLR waits for completion, I have turned my attention to finishing up my model 49 Sherpa T. I have seen photos of this model with a silver frame and some with a black frame. Anyone know which is the stock color?

I have a 300 Raga rep, but I find it to tiring to ride for more than an hour at a time ( too old and too fat) so I am looking for a twinshock, which I think would suit me better. I noticed a 325 sherpa on ebay (4617232738). I dont know much about them so any advice would be helpfull, e.g. would that be suitable, Im 6`2 and 16 stone. Also is the price reasonable

Can anyone help? I have a problem with my recently finished Armstrong. It has a Mk2 Amal concentric on it, goes great for half a trial then tick over gradually increases and the engine starts to run lean, knocks & rattles etc. Any attempt to adjust the pilot screw & tick over are fruitless once this happens. It is very like what happens when you are running low on fuel ie the engine speed increases, but in this case it does not stop running. If I go to the bike now it will run sweetly until it has been going a while. If asked I would say it has an air leak but the engine has new crank seals and new base gasket. Just been nosing around on Todotrial Classic and noticed that there is a 6 round European championship for twinshocks this year. This is good news, not only out of interest as to who will contest it (some 'past masters maybe) but also because the events in Belgium, Germany and Holland are within reasonable travelling distance, being not too far from Calais so it is not beyond the realms of fantasy that some UK riders could take some of them in, particularly as they are all 2 day events. can any body please tell me where the inter centre team trials were held in 1972/73/74 and 75.i would like to know which centres run them and start venues/course where possible.

These are fom the Victory, found in the back of an old album. I was riding a Yamaha so its 77/76 ish? To easy for a quiz methinks.

Does anybody know if you can still get hold of bars as deep as the ones in the photo. As Im restoring a Bultaco model 80 and renthal only do 6" deep. Cheers mark

thanks to woody for his advice,the mods are now complete. 1. footrests repositioned. 2. swinging arm length increased by 40mm 3. shock absorbers 25mm longer. 4. forks pushed thru` yokes 10mm 5. handlebar clamps repositioned up and forwards 20mm took the bike to bracken rocks today and happily it is much better,seems to grip and turn in great,the biggest improvement is the riding position,feels more like a modern bike.

I notice that there are lots of mentions of mid 1980s SWMs, Fantics and Hondas but no-one seems to say much about the Cota 242. I didn't ride between 1980 and 1988 and so have little first hand knowledge of what was popular in that era and why. Can someone tell me why these bikes are not popular in Twinshock Class nowadays? Did they have any redeeming features?

Is anybody out there interested in 4 stroke kawasaki trials bikes e.g. Gollner bike & has anybody got pictures or advice on how to build one. Thanks

what combination of parts do you think would make the perfect twinshock? eg fantic 240 frame, ty 250 motor, beamish forks, ossa back end, obviously leaving real world parts compatability out of it. just for fun what do you think
