need a van to carry two bikes ,must have three seatsany reccomendations?

The time has come to renew the rear tyres on the Sprinter. The std Vaneao ones are ok on the road but are useless on wet grass or even a slight bit of mud. Not looking to go off roading just to be sure i can get out of a venue. Sometimes its spinning on wet grass on the flat So what would the team recommend ? Needs to be ok for the M.O.T. btw. Thanks

Does anyone have experiece of using a wheelchair converted Fiat Doblo car. I want to get my Fantic 200 in it. Is the ground clearance too much reduced?, Is it much heavier and therefore less economical? I have been looking around for a while and there seems to be a lot of low mileage examples about.

I drive a fiat punto, and have been advised that is will be dangerous driving with a 70kg+ bike on the back plus the weight of the rack. So i am going to have to buy a trailer, but i have knowhere to keep one, well, i have a space about 2M x 1M. So, i need a trailer that will fit in there, but still carry my sherco 290 safely. Hello, Looking at getting back on the bike after about 2 years!! In the meantime, I've had the Vivaro converted to a campervan so no room inside any longer!! Considering options for either a bike rack (used to use a Kliponoff years ago!!) or maybe a light, single trailer...... Any recommendations on what's out there nowadays? ta

I am looking to buy a new van and could do with some help from those with van experience. My yard stick for a van is whether it will take a trials bike... although the lack of trials in France dictate this is really not a viable argument... However on that basis what is best overall small van , a Fiat cargo or a Ford Connect. Cheers

Decided at last to change the van. The old tranny (190 high top) is now to big for our needs. Looking to get a smaller van to carry two bikes and have been recommended either the Scudo, Expert or dispatch. Which van is the best and what size engine should I go for. Stuart

As you may all ready know from my other post in this section, i am looking to buy a small van that will accomodate a trials bike (06 Sherco 290). But it is one to use as a car as i dont need it for work. Therfore it needs to be reasonably nippy. I have got a trailer for my bike.But last summer I needed to get my bike to Mallory for the 1000 bike do in which I competed in the pre 65 trial.I also needed my bike at another couple of events. So not wanting to drag the Panther a round on a trailer during the summer I came up with this. 16 bolts to remove the body off my ural and a sheet of chipboard and a few blocks and straps. Merry Christmas all. Im looking for a van to get round the trials. Does anyone know if a 4rt and oset 20 will fit into a nemo (Citroën van) or will I need something bigger ?. Been looking and there are some great bargains around at the minute :-) .. If not the Nemo, what's your opinion on the best van for the job ? Cheers and all the best.

Hi After hearing about so many bikes being pinched I thought it was time to ditch the bike trailer and hide my pride and joy in the back of a van. I've been thinking about getting a Ford Transit Custom SWB with a crew cab which results in a smaller space to put the trials bike (If it will fit) Has anyone got one of these vans for taking the bike in? If I could fold down the rear seats it would just be a case of removing the rear bulkhead but the seats are fixed. The VW Transporter Kombi can do just that but they are silly money. Cheers Alan

Hello All, Just getting started in trials and I'm looking at the best way to transport bikes in the back of a van. The proworks quickload system looks like it would be ideal but I'm not sure if trials bikes would be too narrow for the footpegs to fit into the footpeg clamps, the system looks like it's designed mainly for MX/enduro bikes. Could anyone give me an idea of the width of trials bikes from footpeg tip to footpeg tip, or let me know if the quickload system is already in use by anyone on the forum? Does anyone know if the vertical quick release fitment for the swan neck on the UR towbars from Towequipe are the same fitting as the witter quick release ?

First post, we're new to trials having just bought my 9 yr old son an Oset 20r (35kg). I was going to buy the witter detachable flange tow bar along with the trusted DC bike rack. However the reviews on the detachable flanged tow bar do not fill me with any confidence. Then for my local tow bar installer refuse to fit one, it seems to be the sideways movement on the detachable that is the issue. Any advice from people with experience before i purchase one please? Hi guys Sorry but its another what van question - budget is 2 - 4.5k, thoughts are: Transit - loads about, relatively cheap but boggo 85hp is slowwwww and they do tend to rot somewhat and aren't to hot on fuel use. 56 reg ish with 50 - 70k Hiace - not many about considering nobody ever says anything bad about them. again 56 reg ish 50 - 70 k Vivaro - don't them gear boxes go at 70k? I've heard that either the 5 or 6 speed doesn't have this problem but don't know which!
