Hi Has anyone here had a go at the pre 65 trial up aviemore way that Big John does, ive heard its good but im not the best with the old bike and its not the best with water! Are the sections easy or hard , are they mostly burns like the trials up here for the more modern stuff or is it a mixture. i've an old crusader for years using it up the hills etc locally but ive fancied having a go at a trial with it. Is there any pics on the web of the event last year and who do i contact for an entry? Cheers Greg

Entered the first round of the Twinshock Trials Championship at Congleton this Sunday. Very good trial with 20 sections 2 laps. Nice venue and very good sections and route with around 100 entries. I think it is a very good idea and initiative to try to get out the twinshocks from the garages to use them a bit and return to the trials of the 70´s. Bit muddy for a Spaniard... but aniway enjoyed a lot. Thanks to the motoclub. Some pics:

Looking at the todo trial classic site, and also in the video on zona trial, i notice one of the top twinshock riders is using an aprilia TXR mono converted to twinshock. I know its a mono because theres a few subtle differences from the t-shock frame and i have owned both models. Are the spanish now allowing converted mono's or is he pulling a cheeky one?

Along with another T.C member I have been asked by the powers that be in the trials world in France to organise a trial here in my region, The South west of France. Firstly, putting on a trial in France is a costly affair apart with the permits and insurances, depending on the type of trial, closed multi lap, or longer one or two lap trials you need one or more ambulances and a doctor on standy all day ready to attend any one injured. This can add up to six hundred euros a day so you have to make sure that you will cover these basic costs, ie you have to try and encourage a decent enty. I have decided to pose the question on here, would this trial be of any interest to…

after reading a lot of posts on here about lightening a cub clutch ive tonight lengthened the actuator lever on mine added a strengthening bar to it,and it works. Just waiting for a new clutch cable then im gonna drill the inner case to reposition the cable, and all should be sorted. The next job is to attach a engine breather but where does the end of the pipe on the engine breather run to,any help would be greatly appreciated. Another job is going to be fitting a wider swing arm,i love this hobby already. First trial on the 6th of may cant wait now.

October 2011 I sat on Santa's knee and when he asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I told him I wanted my barrel relined. He said it was a fairly simple request and to send it to his little Elf to undertake the work. Christmas 2011 came and went and Santa's little Elf had let me down, no barrel, no liner, nothing. As Easter approached, the Easter Bunny reckoned he could fit into one of his lovely eggs if I visited the north pole to collect the barrel! I set off in the snow to collect it and pay for it, only to find when I got it home it would not fit the crankcase mouth. So off I went back to the north pole with it to get it put right. Once I returned again from t…

For some reason we seem to be getting reports that the Normandale - Traditional series is undergoing major changes, with classes being dropped etc This is not true - and has certainly not been gleaned from any official source. To date - No major changes in this popular and successful series are being planned
