As above, my '14 model came standard with a JJH needle which I have always felt was a little lean coming into the mid-range. I'm just curious if GG has changed this needle as std between then and now ? If so what is it please.

hello friends.. I'm a long time enduro rider, and fairly new trials rider (1yr ish) and started on a 2006 280 txt pro.. I've upgraded to a 2014 300 factory replica (it's in transit, so haven't ridden it yet, but I briefly test rode the same model before around in a parking lot). So I am a novice rider, 57yrs old, XXL sized, and have competed in two events, and dying to do more, with tons of experience riding, but still learning the finesse it takes for this sport I am wondering if one might recommend whether a flywheel weight, and/or a slow throttle tube would be of use in my learning, both of the sport, and given the increased displacement, and in light of my b…

Hello, Could anyone offer any advice on my bike please. my bikes pinking a little, have had carb (delltoroto) off and cleaned out with compressed air, small jet seems very small, my sherco i could see clear light through, this one seems to be harder to 'see' through although was passing air freely through both holes, not adjusted mixture screw yet, It only tends to do it when revving harder. changed plug, also it does not start as good as i like my bikes to start, is this common with the 300, certainly needs a leg full usually, my 280 gg was a really good starter that had the iridium plug, are they better? thinking of going for the keihn carb i have heard they make a bi…

hi all my son has a 2000 gasgas txt 50 boy and the stator plate fell to pieces,i phoned gasgas and they told me they do not do that part anymore new and the old one had to be rewound, i could not do this because it was in no state to be rewound,id only had the bike a month when this happened and my son was gutted,so i started searching the internet and after 6 long weeks i come across a website for gokart parts using these ignitions based in the uk. i phoned this company and had the ignition sent only took 3 days to arrive.fit it to the bike and it started first kick.the part cost

Noticed Wiggy's bike today had a fancy looking high capacity fuel tank, so I grabbed a few pics, and asked Julian about it. I think this one is a one-off at the moment (apart from the purple prototype in the picture). Edit: Apparently Dabster's got one as well, so at least three of them. Even with the thickness of the material used at the moment (much thicker than a Sherco) it is already 200g lighter than an existing GasGas fuel tank. One worth thinking about for Scotland? Or, just for those Gassers with liquid metal holding their alloy tank together

I put 100mls of it in to my gasgas today just to top it up as the oil was low it made things alot quieter and clutch was nice and smooth. It seemed nice and good for me. It's also nice and cheap. Is it alright to use it for future gearbox oil changes? Thanks Ben Edit- the link does not work. It's Mobil 1 super2000 10w40 (google it)

Heya I'm hopefully going to be getting a new TXT 300 soon. I'm sure I will be too heavy for the standard springs as I weigh 90kg to 98kg (without gear) depending on the season and how much junk food I've been eating . Lewisport do a 10% and 20% stiffer than stock set of fork and shock springs. I'm thinking the 20% stiffer springs would be the right ones, whats your thoughts? (on the springs not my diet!)

Bought a new 300 GP few weeks ago and overall very pleased with bike but it has developed a rattle on start up that's concerning me. From cold I can start the bike usually second kick. This is my fourth gasser since coming back to trials a few years ago and I understand the concept of the "bart simpson" half gear on the kick start mechanism and how the intermediate idler can sometimes be damaged if the k/start is 'slapped' when starting. I always roll the KS over until it engages at the top and follow through cleanly and I believe my proper technique is confirmed by the fact I can start the bike easily and consistently. I know it is difficult to diagnose noises l…

Took my txt pro 280 out for the first time today. Bike started on 3 rd kick, rode down to the area for practice and the bike cut out. Could not get it to start after 20 - 30 kicks, took plug out and it was dry (new ngk iridium) then pulled choke up and it started but raced away on tickover, turned choke off and it struggled to tick over. Carried on and rode around but every time i backed off the gas it wanted to cut out. Not really sure what the problem is but it seems like carb starvation. 1- only start with choke (hot or cold) 2- wants to stall when backing off throttle. Have not had a delorto carb before so did not want to play with the screws until i knew what the…

Hi I have just bought my first trials bike, and have just finished doing all the little jobs to get it up to spec. One of these was to replace the front fork seals. However after looking around on the internet I cannot seem to find a basic (stock) setting for the fork clickers. I was wondering if anyone knew what these should be set to so I have a good starting point to fiddle with. Also as I weigh 100Kg does anyone know what the weight range is for the standard fork springs? I topped the forks up with 300ml of 7w fork oil in each leg, I found this figure on a YouTube video and would like to confirm it is the correct amount. I normally ride Enduros and know that getti…

Recently bought an 04 mk3 pampera 250 with the intention of riding sammy miller rounds and classic long distance trials. i've changed the bars for trials renthals, re positioned levers, put trials tyres front and rear and i've had the grinder out and had the pillion footrests off and all other lumps and bumps. i'm making up some front mudguard brakets so that the high and wide moto cross style front guard can be replaced with a modern trials fender. what other mods are profitable? will the footrests move down and back on the main frame? any more weight thats begging to be lost? what gearing are you using, what fuel /oil ratio and plugs?

Lost all the rebound on the front forks, have changed the oil and done a visual check all seems ok, the cartridge is a sealed unit so you can't do anything with it, have been told this has happened to a couple of riders in the SSDT and they had to get new cartridges, does anyone know a fix or a way round this or do I just have to buy a new rebound cartridge ?
