Dear Experts, I'm in the process of restoring a Frontera Mk11 370. I have also done a bit of car racing where ceramic coating of exhausts is done quite frequently. Its said to increase exhaust extraction but the main benefit is reducing under bonnet heat accumulation. Having burnt my inner thigh on my sherpa recently I am wondering whether to get the Frontera exahust ceramic coated. Is this often done on a two stroke? Is it beneficial? Has anyone got experience of doing it? Any thoughts welcome. Regards Paul Cundy

I bought a 199A. It would not start when I went to collect it but owner said he had had it started to check it was OK that morning. No spark, but when we removed the plug but it did look as if it had run. Got it home cleaned the points and checked gap whch as correct. There was now a spark but may be not as bright or as consistent as it should be. Still no start although I think it fired a few times. Tested the HT coil and secondary winding was open circuit so bought new coil from Inmotion. Slightly better spark but still no start. Had the condenser checked by an electrician. No Mf capacitance so ordered one from Inmotion which has just arrived. When removing the fly…

Just looking at the MOT regs and it says that bikes first used after the 1st Jan 1973 must have horns which are not of bulb type. Do many testers notice this or can I get away with it? If not, how would I wire in a horn to the wiring? The bike in question is a Model 124 with the standard Femsa igntion with the Red wire replaced by Black (other wires as standard) and I don't normally use a chocolate block in the wiring systems. Another question is how do tester react to slightly bent wheels (luckily I have a good set )

Hi everyone I've just joined up. I've just bought a bultaco lobito 175???? Early seventies but the engine numbers start with m-8 and the frame numbers start b-8. The bike was imported from the states not by me on other sites are saying it's a model 80? Which makes it a 1971 sherpa? Is this correct i will post some pics tomorrow it certainly looks like a mk5 lobito but the matching numbers have certainly thrown a spanner in the works. Any information much appreciated regards Lee Stephens

My M85 fork tubes are rusted a little where the taper meets the top fork clamp. Can grease or something similar be applied to the taper during reassembly to slow down the corrosion process? or would this make the forks move? Thanks!!
