Rebuilding a Mar and need to fit the nylon bushes. Unfortunately these were not in the box of bits. Does anyone no where to get these (not interested in the 70 dollar ones). Or alternative solution or even dimensions so I get them machined up. any help welcome. thanks

Had engine completely rebuilt by Steve a couple of years ago, all good. I am now getting quite a few neutrals. Is the re-shim as evil a job as it looks, and if so who does a good job before I try to collar Steve again? Thanks

My 73 MAR 250 has an IZD carb installed on it. This was what came stock on these machines. I am compiling a list of items needed, all cables are needed. Problem is, no where do I see the cable to go from the Amal throttle to an IZD carb. Would it be the same cable ad for an Amal carb or Bing?

Hi all, just stripping down a 1972/3 MAR and was wondering if anyone could tell me the serial number for the bearings. I`ve found the number for the steering head bearings (30204) but can`t seem to find any for the wheels. Also are the hubs supposed to be black? The bike is 99% original and the spokes don`t appear to have any overspray. All the bikes I`ve seen have alloy/silver hubs but mine are black! Cheers in advance, basketcase.

Just trying to learn a little history on my bike(1970 Ossa Plonker).Did Mick ride the stock bike or close to it in his first few six days (1967,68,69) with Ossa? It was pretty cool to see pics of Dave Thorpe on one in CTM and to read that he did pretty good on it.

I have just bought a Mikuni carb for my 250 Ossa Gripper. I hadn't realised that the air filter side is 44 mm dia compared to 52 mm dia on the Amal and therefore the standard airfilter won't fit. I do have the ability to make up a spacer ring but I was wondering whether there was an 'off the shelf' solution - hoping someone might be able to help,

I don't now recall who was having some odd running issues, but thought I'd post this idea up for anyone now or future. My 2014 Explorer (same as trials with added subframe, tanks, seat etc) had an off-idle 'burble' a couple of times. At around 100 hours, then again around 200 hours. A TPS adjustment/reset solved those. Normally it runs nice and clean from idle all the way to max rpm. No burbling or richness. A few months ago it started again, and nothing seemed to solve it in the 'usual' areas. But I had never taken the main ECU connector apart. All the other connectors on the bike were well sealed and looked good, and the one time I tried it didn't…

I just bought the new Explorer. I ride in wet and very muddy terrain. This bike desperately needs a mud flap at the rear to help keep the shock and linkage cleaner, but not sure how to attach one. Has anyone fashioned one yet? Thanks.

Not my OSSA MAr, but my friends. The bike he bought a while back, advertised as restored needing nothing has been one hack after another. To late to complain to the guy, and the seller was not honest in how he described and displayed the motorcycle. It was a long distance sale, so between emails, phone calls and videos, the bike was bought and shipped. Suffice to say the seller, that did the work should not handle tools and has no real regard for quality. Along with many issues, the most recent occurred last week. While getting the jetting dialed in, the engine lost power and began rattling. My first comment when told about this on the phone was he seized i…

  13. Hi, I have a newly restored Ossa Mar that has not yet had the lighting harnesses made up and installed. I am looking for a few good pictures of how the harness are routed e.g. between the switch and the headlight, the headlight back towards the supply and ground wires, as well as from the rear brake switch and the tail light. If anyone has a MAR where these harnesses have been properly set up I would sure appreaciate a pic of them so I can know how to fabricate / install my own. thank you kindly. Paul Wells ps I have attached a picture of my bike. By the way I have the tail light, handlebar switch and brake light switch. They're just not hooked up yet. thanks again…

I have recently picked up a non running Tr280i that has been hand balled though a number of people of the last year or so. I was told it may have a clutch issue. After inspected it I found the clutch was completely missing. The only parts there was the hub and basket. I can buy the plates, fingers and a local shop is conforming the availability of the pressure plate and support plate. However I'm having an issue trying to find the clutch spring (number 12 in the part diagram #2420020212) does anyone happen to know where I maybe able to find one or does anyone have a bike they are parting out? I also believe my gear selector spring (number 20 in the parts di…
