Does anyone know the best method of fixing the plunger to the rear brake pedal. It looks like some form of special rivet.

Hi all, Plan is to strip down my bike over the next few months......wanna polish the frame. Any hints/tips appreciated. Also, where do I get Mont sticker kits from? Ian. PS. If it gets anything like approaching the pic below then........!

I have a 2001 Cota that has approx. 100.000.000 miles on her an' she is popping out of 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. Also leaks oil from between the skidplate and the cases. I think it could still be under warranty? Don't the manufacturers back their product any better than this? I tried wedging a screwdriver handle in between the skidplate and the sump but it still pops outa' gear. Maybe I should change the gearbox oil to a thicker weight? Would this eliminate the schreeching noise in the clutch when I downshift from 5th to 1st at 60 mph? Thanks in advance for your replies, Jay Lael.

Does anyone have a photo of exactly where the rubber cushions fit between the bashplate and bottom of the engine? I’ve tried to fit them like the best I can make out from the pictures in the manual, but whenever I put the bashplate on the small one seems to slip around. I normally pull it out so that I don’t lose it during a trial. Cheers

Hi All, The front pipe on my Montesa 1998 315r, is all rusty. Im wanting to paint it and thought i'd use some stove paint, or Very High temp paint. but wondered about Powder coating, does it work with a front pipe, or does it come straight off? I know most pipes are chromed nowadays, but i dont want to go that far. Thanks Matt

Hello all, i have just purchased a 08 Repsol 4RT. It’s a great bike apart from the wheels need powder coating in the Repsol orange. Has anyone had this done and can recommend someone to do this for me? Any ideas on the colour code? cheers!

hi I have been going to a lot of trials lately and i have been noticing there isn't really any grade A or B riders riding a 4rt. I was talking to one grade A rider who was selling his 2015 repsol and he said coming from a 290 GAS GAS with the vertex top end to a 260 there is less power. He also said he was having to rev it like crazy to get it to go up anything steep. Do you's think a montesa 4rt 260 would be plenty of power for a grade B or grade A rider. When I rode the 2015 repsol there was an extreme amount of torque of it which i thought would have gave grade A and B riders an advantage. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.

More monty questions, what pre mix are you using ,have done a search but throws loads of different answers

I am considering buying a 07 or 08 4rt .Are there things you have to alter? I have heard of alterations to the clutch and footrest hangers but would have thought a quality bike like the Montesa would be ready straight oot the box.Also is there any thing specific to the 4rt I should look out for when buying ? not sure whats wrong with my bike its a montesa 314r and i was driving along today in 5th gear to where i normally do my trials and all of a sudden it slammed on it 5th and skidded to a stop and it cut out and the kick start wouldnt move it was like as if it was jammed any one help???

Been looking at improvement threads on here for the 4rt. Lots of people saying that the propgrammable throttle body is the single best mod you can make. When I enquired about it at Sandifords I was quoted

Now then, here is a question thats probably been asked a hundred times before. Unfortunately the search function is acting up. Can anyone provide a supplier and approximate cost for a programmable throttle body for a 4rt. Thanks

Not wishing to appear insensitive at all, but i used to send my PTB back to MSport to get my maps changed! Does anyone know another option?
