Vertigo

Hi I have 2020 Vertical 250 . I have the Get system & have played about with adjustments, but can’t get that softness at initial throttle opening I would like. Slightly retarding ignition wld normally achieve this , like I did on previous bikes plus on my old 240 Fantic , on Vertigo this just produces engine braking!! I know on Gas Gas they fit low compression heads to smooth out bottom end & Beta lads have put extra base gasket on 300 s to do the same . So my ? Is , I think they do a low compression for 300 but not 250 ? Has anyone tried extra base or head gasket ? If u do base or head gasket ,is any re-programming needed ? Thanks

Hi, I'm the proud owner of a 2nd hand 2019 DL 250. I'm new to the brand and am discovering the fan is a little noisy. I've been told by the importer that this is normal for vertigos. I also know the prior owner and am told this is normal from him as well. I'm looking at testing some aftermarket options that are quieter. I want to disrupt the existing wiring loom as little as possible, so I'm looking to acquire some of these connectors so I can test out a few options. Anyone know what they are called or where I can get some? Regards, David.

Hello all, has anyone bought and experimented with the Athena Wificom for 2018/2019 Vertigo? I was thinking about buying the device, as my 2019 Vertical 300 keeps running rich even on dry map, the spark plug gets sooty and overall the bike feels like it's running too rich at high revs (four stroking). Air filter is always clean, tried different new spark plugs, fuel is 100 octane, fresh, 0,5% Motul 800 oil. Dealer says bike is ok, which is 99,5% true, but I was thinking about turning the "carburation " leaner with the Wificom device. Any experience/advice? Thanks in advance!

Hello, Not exactly a major issue, but I noticed that my recently purchased R3's headlight is not on. There is a red button behind the headlight, is this a switch for the headlight? I assume as soon as the bike starts the light should come on? Thanks, Nick.

Out for a ride This morning and my 2017 300 combat started blubing and running like a bike running low/out of fuel (it had a full tank). It cleared for a bit and then as soon as I started opening the throttle it would bog, but would tick over fine. I stopped the bike and then it wouldn't restart. After a long push back to the van I changed the plug (Had a good spark) and swapped battery, but It still wont start. I can hear the fuel pump cycle when I set the start button. So I'm thinking Injector blocked or a fuel pressure issue. Has anyone else had something similar? Any practical advice?

Congratulations to the Vertigo team and DL for their SSDT win, brilliant. The question that many may be thinking or already asked, will the Vertigo go into production? If so when and how much ?

So I'm starting to notice that when the bike is warm, on starting it it wants to, and sometimes does, stall immediately after starting if you give it a bit of throttle. It acts like a lean bog from a carb bike. It seems to be less an issue if it gets a really good kick to restart it, and/or you immediately give it a blip as it's firing. Anyone else know what I'm talking about here, or am I special?

Result says it all, surely good news for UK trials with DLs connections. Only one 5 in a very stiff trial and the bike still under development? A new benchmark!

I've just had a look at upgrading my 300 icehell for a new 2018 model to find Vertigo are only producing the titanium model R and the new Virtical model. All good and well until you read the spec and see that the virtical model is last years Camo spec but at icehell price. Sorry but at £7000 I would be buying a bike with less spec than what I have. Full details on Spanish Vertigo website. Someone Please prove me wrong that Vertigo are not trying to rip me off....

  13. I’ve had my 2017 bike from new and never had any problems - still on the original 9V battery! However, when I got the bike out yesterday for the first ride in a few weeks it would start OK but would not run smoothly. It felt as if it was running very rich, it wouldn’t rev very cleanly and then struggled to tick over. I checked the plug and it was very black. Also quote smoky when it was running. Vertgio UK weren’t sure what it was but clarified that the TPS sensor failure usually makes the bike very lean, so unlikely to be that. Am about to book it into a dealer for a check, but has anybody got any suggestions?

I’m looking at doing some suspension tweaks on my bike, I just feel it’s a bit firm at both ends, I’ve had it about a year so it will all be well bedded in. It’s not something I’ve done before I tend to just get used to how there set up but I feel I need to alter mine now. Any advice would be great

Hi I've just got the above bike a 2018 model and I'm finding it difficult to get started. I've ordered a new air and fuel filter in the hope that this could help. The only times I've had it started I had to squirt a syringe of premix down the throttle body but I can't be doing that all the time 😂 Does it sound like a fuel filter problem or pump problem to you guys. I don't think it helps that I got the 300cc version and I'm only 156lbs. But it was road registered and in pretty good condition. Thanks guys 😊👍👍 Martin
