That link is the 2014 model ?
  2. Depending on the model you may have to move cylinder head
  3. Let it fail, then you will see how many of these demands are actually essential.
  4. Until sections are marked out for no stop and observers actually apply the rules then yes this will not work. At present we have almost the same sections just with longer run ups. This wasnt what I expected. Take section 4 at penrith. The first two man made jumps and ride round on the flat didnt take any marks that I saw. There was a no stop part to the section ie a continuous set of obstacles to be ridden, but it was only about 25% of the section.
  5. I asked what lap as speaking to someone else who attended they were convinced the stall was on lap 3. This made me think crikey it happened twice ?
  6. I think another issue is having 3 routes per section. The nature of the land at penrith meant for example on section 3 both middle and hard course rode along a flat bit of grass for 10 / 15 metres to get past the youth route. Both stop and non stop at this venue seem to be very short sections like one jumble of rocks connected by flat ground to make one longer section. This may just need more thought in layout but using one begin and ends for three routes is potentially making it harder for the coc
  7. Bingbasher which lap did you video he is down for a 5 on lap 3
  8. These are Tech forks copey as fitted to shercos. Std GG has Marzocchi which have always been fine in my experience
  9. They had three on the section in question. I was to the left of Bou when he restarted the bike as was the observer who was making the decisions. I didn't realise he had stalled it and perhaps the observer didnt either. But Bou had clearly stopped and the rules were not applied.
  10. Can a section be changed after the 1st lap ?
  11. World round section plotters seem to make the same errors as at every other level of the sport. Penrith had some pretty big stuff but often very little in between. A 10ft step with a long run up and nothing beyond it takes commitment and is spectacular but is clean or five. Make the step 6ft and have something a wheelbase before and after and that requires control. The best made some big stuff look simple and lost marks on things which were pretty small but awkward.
  12. good video, I must take a holiday to catch an event like this or cahors
  13. Well done Dabster, this is a good story. As Gizza5 will confirm I returned a spare wheel a lad had left in the car park one year. Its great that trials folk return stuff. Sad reflection on society when people are pleasantly surprised when they get stuff back.
  14. Crankcase oil breather maybe routed near there ?
  15. baldilocks replied to ric h's topic in OSSA
On most bikes there is sufficient lip on the top of the outer race to knock it out with a steel bar from above. Certainly the case with GG and Shercos.
  16. What colour is the oil coming out, grey/white or the same as you put in ?
  17. Ive had a dunlop tyre mousse for fitting tubeless tyres for years. Great bit of kit for making life easy
  18. Jcm early mmodels were the same. Its a problem as usually the torque of the engine compresses the rear suspension and aids traction. When I rode jcms I found them hard to get grip with but didn't understand why at the time.
  19. That looks like the model with the rotax 350 Jumbo engine. Not a very good bike you should stick with the TY
  20. Chainsaw oil made by Stihl. Enviromentally friendly and £30 for 5 litres which will be enough to last for years.
  21. Kev Chapmans gold raga Gas Gas pro has been stolen tonight from the back of a pick up truck after the Darlington trial. Will give more details later.
  22. HughandJen if the big end has play there will often be wear on the pin and conrod itself. Best practice is to change the rod pin and bearing
  23. Is there much life left in the pads ? No problems myself but others with older bikes have reported the brake being spongy when pads are low.
  24. Sorry but I dont think your flat out test is relevant. It would be more useful if bikes were less easy to break when dropped. Parts like master cylinders exhausts etc. If I want to do 70mph id buy a road bike.
  25. Hi John are the later models different. When I have split pro motors previously I have took out the allen bolt and the basket just slides off ?
