Trials Transport

Hi, Does anyone know if you can fit a sherco 250 and/or beta 125 in a new (60) kangoo. it's short wheel base with built in bulk head. thanks

Hey Guys: Quick question - has anybody any experience of using a small van like a Peugeot Partner / VX Combi to transport a trials bike? I'm looking at getting as small a van as possible to ship both a trials bike / DH mountain bikes around and in an ideal world one of the smaller vans would be choice...not to mention easier to find than Vito's etc.... unfortunately - I haven't got myself a trials bike yet and the van is coming first....so it could all be a bit of an expensive gamble!!! Hi there. I'm currently thinking of selling our motorhome which is also my motorcycle transport. I just want a small van with 3 front seats. I've been looking at the new shape Citroen Berlingo and Peugeot partner 2019 onwards. It seems they come in a short and longer wheelbase. I was wondering if anyone has any experience and maybe photos of fitting their trials bikes in one of these vans. The long wheelbase one can probably fit a bike in straight against the side? Can you fit a bike in the short wheel base model ? I see part of the passenger seat folds forward. Can you get the front wheel through there ? Have people had to remove the bulkhead to get bikes in ? right guys........... ive got a 2-3 bike trailer, its very well/professionally built etc etc..proper job for any kind of bike, probably even road bikes at a push.... but it weighs a ton ! i cant move it around as much as id like to for storage etc.... after seeing a few really smart chopped up ,trials bike specific bike trailers i think its time to get the angle grinder out............ im gonna chop it back to a rollin' chassis and go from there..... the best ones ive seen have a block/platform sat above the axle for the bash plate to sit on then, towards the front end, some kind of tray for one wheel to sit in, leaving the other simply hanging over the back of the ax…

Merry Christmas all. Im looking for a van to get round the trials. Does anyone know if a 4rt and oset 20 will fit into a nemo (Citroën van) or will I need something bigger ?. Been looking and there are some great bargains around at the minute :-) .. If not the Nemo, what's your opinion on the best van for the job ? Cheers and all the best.

Can anybody tell me how to test the suspension on a trailer, independent rubber bush type. My trailer seems to vibrate when driving. Not sure if the need replacing or its just how it is. (ps this is used trailer not managed to test it with my bike on but trials bikes are hardly heavy.

Hi all, A mate of mine reckons his Peugeot Expert van would be good for trials. Anyone using one??....'cause I might be on the look out for a van in the near future. Anyone know if you could fit one/two/NO trials bikes in this van??...looks big enough to me, but would appreciate any info. Cheers in advance for any help

HI guys! I am happy to share my own expirence of designing the rack in order to move a trial bike out a city on a small car like BMW 116i. I bought the standard tow bar (250$) and have mounted it (30$), bought some raw steel such as angle 30mm*3mm, plate 3mm, square tube 30*60*3mm, square tube 30*30*3mm and something else i needed i found in my garage (plus 100$). Then i've welded this construction previously calculating and evaluating its safety and reliability. Finally, i mount this item on the tow bar. Haha, i dont need to get there really fast its just the car i have ! its my first real car (after a mini) and i want to use a rack for space purposes and im pretty sure that my licence (had it 5 years) doesnt cover pulling a trailer, although that never stopped me fitting a towbar to the mini and pulling the heavy-ist homemade two bike trailer ! so id like to be abit more legal, I had a look on that kerbweight website and it says my ball weight is 52kg and obviously a bike and rack is pushing 75, So my plan is to get a third party rack (from a scrappers

I’ve used a bike rack for quite a few years, without any problems (and I’ve done quite a few miles) on various cars and small vans But I’ve now started to worry about the weight on the back and the law I know there is a nose weight for vehicles but I was always under the impression that this was for the towing & stability of a trailer? I’m currently using the wife’s Rover 25 which pulls the bike nicely but only has a nose weight of 70Kgs! (which is more than some big cars)

Hi everyone, Looking at getting a bike again after a couple of years off but I'd quite like a small van to keep it from prying eyes and for ease of loading so no faffing with a trailer etc. It will also be handy for the mountain bikes. I'm looking at some of the newer models, i used to have a face lift vw t5 which was lovely but now not necessary and too expensive. I quite like the caddy's but they are quite expensive for a basic spec but still an option. Hello Its that time of year again when all the fields we park in get very wet and differcult to get in or out. i saw something on the weekend that clamps around your wheel a bit like a snow chain but just had four bars on it looked quite simple to fit. Does anyone know what this is or has anyone got anything out there they would recommend to use to keep in the van to help me from getting stuck in a feild like this weekend gone NICE!!!! iv seen these mats you can get. what are they like???? Hi all I am interested in to getting into trials got places to ride etc my problem is transport I have a Audi A6 Allroad so pretty decent sized boot with seats collapsed and i wondered if it is possible to fit a bike in there, obvisoly wheels and possibly forks would be removed. Just wondering what people experiences are? Thanks James

Currently have a LWB Vito Dualiner and can get 2 bike in easily by rolling the rear seat forward. Am looking at a L2 (think that's Fords name for LWB) Transit but they have a bulkhead and the load length is a bit shorter than the length of a trials bike. Assume they would probably go in with front wheel turned etc but before I look any further thought I'd check - does anyone on here use a L2 transit with a bulkhead and gets 2 (or more) bikes in? If so, how? angled bars, cut a gap in bulkhead etc etc? TIA Nick

Has anyone had trouble with the rear door central locking? The rear door locks ok but then won't unlock on the button.. it's then necessary to release it from the inside. Not easy if bikes in the way. Is it a common problem? Is there a fix?

Fitted my DC rack to the Freelander and the rack looks great though the height to lift the back wheel looks very high... anyone have any tips on getting it up high enough to load... think the beta will be OK but my Sherpa is a lot heavier...
