I'm concern about my new bike I bought used. It's a 2011 beta evo 4t 300 and the fan is running almost all the time. After the engine warms up a little bit and when I ride It keeps running. Is It normal? thanks

I've just acquired an'03 Rev3 250 and am interested to know what fuel mix ratio other owners use.I've been told different things by two very reputable dealers. One says use fully synthetic oil at 50:1 and the other says semi-synthetic at 70:1. All input welcome Thanks.

Are they hard work to control and tire you out riding them.Or are they more tame had a 270 rev 3 a few years ago and found it hard work!

Hi All My 2005 Rev-3 started making a noise when running recently. The noise was most obvious on the overrun, after closing the throttle from medium revs it sounded like a rumbly-grumbly noise, a bit like the engine was full of marbles. Equally, when riding, vibration could be felt through the pegs. Naturally I didn't ride the bike after that, although it would start and run - it was just noisy. Today I pulled the engine out of the bike to have a look. The piston and barrel are in good shape, and neither of the rings are broken - which is a relief. However, there are flakes of metal all over the place: Here are more pictured inside the engine: More: There…

I just bought an Evo 290, was wondering whether the coolant still causes problems with the casing like the old betas, and if so should I change it out for another type of coolant such as motul? Or is this no longer a problem?

Hi After my engine being apart and I am putting the clutch fluid on my rev3 back in, in through the master cylinder and out of bleed nipple all the air bubbles seem to be gone after I was purging it through and left it for a few hours but when I now pull the lever in after a few pulls it won't pull back in to the bar (acts like the front brake) the first pump after a purge is ok but gets progressively worse until it will only pull in 1/2 way. Anybody got any ideas about why that is? it wasn't like that before I took it apart:)

Has any other Rev riders changed to the Hebo footpegs? I just switched out the stock pegs for new Hebos and they make a world of difference for me. The machine is easier to balance and I feel like I have more control / more places to stand. I thought about the CNC milled Scorpa pegs, but the Hebos are battle-tested and cheaper too.

My bike is pinging pretty badly when it gets hot - trying to figure it out... I run 108 / 93 octane mix and 80:1 oil. Its got 145 main and 27.5 pilot jets and I'm running the jet needle one clip richer (second from the bottom). Its got an NGK BP5ES plug in it - is this the plug most Beta owners are running? Is there a stator plate with slotted holes on the Rev3 250 / 270 to allow small changes to timing? Any ideas?

I have an evo with a missing map switch, probably removed by a rock as they are in a stupid place on the later bikes! I need to know what map is open circuit and what map is grounded circuit so I can check if I need to ground the wire as I'm not planning to fit another switch at the moment, I just need to make sure its in fast map permanent. I know with the Gassers it's grounded circuit for the fast map as I have removed a few of them over the years. If someone know's it would be cool and save me fiddling about with wires and riding it to try to tell the difference or messing about with a multimeter on a similar bike.

Hi all am considering getting a evo 300 4t after years of riding beta rev 2t. what things should I know/look for (it's a used bike) and what do people find as pros/cons against the 2t model? I remeber riding a 250 4t, which was good, but just way too tame/soft for my riding. On the other hand never found my 250 2 stroke lacking anywhere. Ride expert mainly south/south east/south west club/centre events

Hi guys, I have a 2008 rev 80 which has recently developed a misfire at higher revs, it has a new plug, new HT cap have cleaned out the carb and the stator and checked all wiring but made no difference,we previously had a 2004 rev 80 with the same problem but I sold it with the misfire, the buyer intended to let me know what, when and how he cured it but he never did, so before I go throwing money at coils, cdi's and stators I just wondered if anybody has had this problem and could give me some pointers as to what cures it, is it a common problem with these Rev 80's, any info appreciated.

Hi again everyone! Just swapped rear shock on my beta 2013 evo to a new standard one as old got damaged! Ive put spring length same as old one and screwed dampening in 1 complete turn from right out! Im certain its not performing the same! Can anyone explain to me what adjusts what as i struggle to understand dampening with preload! Basically i feel that the rear shock doesnt come up fast enough for my riding style! Like to clear rocks so i ride smooth and not into them! also i splat straight to back wheel without kicker on some rocks so really want good lift! Also im 13 stone so should i put it down to standard spring and get the white spring to help with this! Making da…

My Rev-3 250 was delivered to me with an NGK BP5ES installed. I switched out to the Beta-specified Champion N7YC (couldn't find the N7YCC - Copper Core). What is everyone else running in the 250 / 270 REV-3? Is there a cross-reference to a Bosch part number?

Has anyone replaced the stock Mikuni on an 07 270 Rev3 with a 28mm Keihin? I haven't researched the idea, by hunch is that I might need: 1) a throttle cable from a 2008 Beta (uses a 28 mm Keihin) 2) a 2008 intake and filter tube (rubber tube between airbox and the carburetor mouth) to accomodate the larger carburetor Does anyone know for sure what is required and if there are any issues with this setup?
