Hi all! There are rumors in Spain that the Vertigo engine will be used, mounted in a Scorpa frame, by one of the factory riders in the next Tres Dias de Trial de Santigosa. According to these rumors the engine is been developed by Francesc Moret and now by Dougie Lampkin.

  3. Sold my ‘17 Montesa 4rt and bought a left over ‘19 Vertical Combat. I love this bike! So much easier to ride in all respects... except one, starting. If I have a tree to lean against or a rock to stand on where I can get up over the bike, I can start it 1st or 2nd kick. But if none of those available no way. What am I doing wrong? How do I position my body to get enough leverage to kick it over????? i tried using the side stand to support the bike while that worked, it bends the side stand.

Just out of interest, I've looked online, no website, prices, contact etc, etc. Is it a case you have to be on facet#@t to find anything out, or am I not looking hard enough. If I was in the market for a new bike, (even though I love 4rt's, but Montesa and Honda uk, lately, really annoy me how pi$$ poor they do things) would seriously consider an ice hell. P.S. This isn't a dig at vertigo, just a simple Q. For prospective buyers.

I’ve got a small oil leak coming from the seal around the gear shaft, it’s on the vertigo parts list as a lip seal is this just a standard oil seal ?

So... I'm at a loss. It seems to me that once you disconnect the lower linkage connectors, removing the 'axle' bolts should more or less do the trick. But of course it doesn't, and I'm starting to think perhaps there's a special tool required (or maybe just a large bolt of the correct pitch) to thread into and remove the pieces that Vertigo refers to as the swingarm semiaxis. Anyone had their off?

Hi there, I'm new to the forum... Been reading a lot of interesting replies in here. I got a 2019 Vertigo 300 4 months ago, fantastic bike... My only dilemma is about fuel economy, the bike is really thirsty... Coming from a 2014 Ossa 300, the Vertigo consumes almost twice as much! Sure, the Vertigo is more powerful than the Ossa, but the speed, riding style and trails/obstacles I use it for are the same. Has anyone else noticed this problem? I usually use the "wet" map, but I notice very little difference between the two... Could that be an issue? Could the "dry" map be more fuel efficent than the "wet" map? Thanks in advance!

I'm seriously considering purchasing a 2017 Ice hell and was wondering if any else out there bothers with any kind of plastic/CF protection parts? With it being so new there isn't much out there, I have seem some carbon fibre cover protection on the Vertigo site but they are some serious money! I currently have a 2016 Beta Evo factory and from the very first day I had frame/fork/swing arm/cover protection as well as rim tape etc. I appreciate it takes a little away from the aesthetics of the bike, but in several places it has saved significant damage, especially on the forks and clutch cover! How are people frames/engine cover standing up to boot wear as well? …

When i got the bike it started up on the first kick then i rode a bit ad killed it with the kill cord that goes around your arm (it replaces the stop button). 20 seconds later i tried starting it up and it took a good 12 or more kicks to get it going but i was using the same technique. I rode for 10 and killed it again (same way). And i couldn't get it started again,no matter what i tried it wouldn't make a noise. The next day I would try it again but nothing. The dealer came and picked it up, the next they they were able to start it perfectly.... Has anyone else had this problem, or am I too weak to start the bike? xd

so bought a combat 300 and it seems a pig to start not at all like the description on vertigo uk website plus the kick start seems to have a very short throw and turns past 90 degrees when positioning for a kick so your foot slips off at the bottom of the stroke ! any advice on starting would be welcome i did have a 06 gasgas that you had to surprise to get it to start lol

Whats everyones thoughts on this ? I'm not over keen on the colours but if you look at what you get extra for the couple of hundred quid over a std bike its a bargin http://vertigomotors.com/en/news/?fbclid=IwAR1nm5uf6QDJ98e-trRia8GUVU-QbH4rF7wmeb1iW1x37Mm-mUKy5hk5yB8

I'm thinking about a Vertigo but not sure about a 250 or 300. I test rode the 2017 250 ice hell on the test day which was nice. They didnt have a 300 to try as something was wrong with it. I managed to grab a very quick ride on 2016 300 combat wasn't 100% sure if I liked it but I been told the 2017 300's have been calmed down a bit. So not sure what to go for now.

I'm currently looking at a Vertigo Ice Hell 300 and i was wondering if it would be too powerful and too difficult to maintain by myself. I am a 6ft, 11St, 16 year old who is riding at a good green - course level at all clubs. Do people think it would be too powerful even if it had really low gears and on mapping setting 3? Any advice would be really useful ?

Anyone else getting a lot of what seems like oil around the shifter? It almost looks like the countershaft seal is leaking, but I haven't confirmed the source yet. Another vertigo here shows the same thing.

Hello all, has anyone bought and experimented with the Athena Wificom for 2018/2019 Vertigo? I was thinking about buying the device, as my 2019 Vertical 300 keeps running rich even on dry map, the spark plug gets sooty and overall the bike feels like it's running too rich at high revs (four stroking). Air filter is always clean, tried different new spark plugs, fuel is 100 octane, fresh, 0,5% Motul 800 oil. Dealer says bike is ok, which is 99,5% true, but I was thinking about turning the "carburation " leaner with the Wificom device. Any experience/advice? Thanks in advance!
