Any of you American guys into flat track racing ? Seen a cracking DT1 from the Dan Rouit flat track museum in the States and i'm going to replicate it . Go to google and type in flat tracker 2 strokes , look for his name and check out the 27th image . Oh , could really annoy the local plod with that. Tax exempt , BSI kite mark on exhaust not necessary. A big middle finger to the rules on that bike . What do you think lad's (and lasses) ? Shy T

I'm recycling an old PC as a universal media player/digital video recorder and the last piece of the puzzle is an HDMI cable to connect the PC to the TV. No problem, just nip down to Curry's and grab one, they can't be more than a tenner, right? Upon perusing their AV cable selection I almost passed out - check this out. Then compare and contrast with this. WTF??? Now I know that audiophiles will argue for hours about the relative merits of electromagnetic shielding and vacuum sealed connectors etc. etc. but at the lengths that I'm interested in, I'm totally unconvinced that such ****ery makes any difference at all. Grrrrrrrrrrrr........

I suspect that many of you, like me, are closet moon race fans. I can't get enough of the history of, arguably, the greatest feat of engineering in history. If you are have a look here. It's pure gold, all the stuff they gloss over in "from the earth to the moon": Saturn quarterly reports

  8. Hi all, I am in a hurry to get my bike licence so I can do the jersey 2 day and some other road trials, now I have booked my test in lincoln (10th sept) but all the training companies I have rang are all fully booked for direct access until oct but a couple of them said if I was on 125 they might be able to fit me in, but if I do it on a 125 I will be restricted to 33bhp for 2 years. I have seen something on this forum about the bhp of a trials bike but I can't for the life of me find it anywhere. So what is the bhp of a trials bike? I am pretty sure it's much lower than 33 but I just want to make sure. Also how many lessons did it take you folks to get up to test…

Seems Australias have been quite emphatic in removing the Howard lead government here in Australia. With a couple of key issues being blamed for the fall of the eleven year reign by the conservative parties, the most telling being work place aggreements, rising inflation and rising interest and its on going participation in the very unpopular Iraqi war. On top of losing power, John Howard is only the second prime minister of Australia to lose his seat by being voted out by his own electorate. Maybe he should have moved on like Blair to avoid this most humiliating demise. It will be very interesting to see the America peoples decision on President Bush at the up and com…

Ok peeps! This year while resting my back after major back surgery I have been helping out ''The Addict'' with pit crew for his brother who is not bad competing in the raod races (he is Bl**dy Quick) 2010 was a good year and expectations were high going into the last round of the championship trailing by 1 mark to lift the silverware. Unfortunately things didn't go according to plan with a flat spot on a new engine and he binned it at over 120mph trashing the bike!! Those on FB have seen the photo's? Things could have been worse as the bike is a 2005 model worth about 5K and he took out most of the top boys when he spilled it on their 50k plus machinery :mellow So wha…

  15. Some of us are desperately curious to know what those gals are all about on the other side of the pond. I know the obvious difference is the way they talk, but are they really more discerning and demanding of their men? I read a bit about the subject and one American woman said that American men are "substandard, chauvanistic rejects who live in trailer houses and scratch themselves", and that they "have no redeeming qualities". She said that "no self respecting English woman would have anything to do with an American man". Now I have observed that American women are usually very interested in English men. They hear them talk and go all wobbly. I wonder what happens to En…
