USA Trials

Hi there, I am currently sailing over the Pond from the UK (doing some Subesea construction in the GOM ).We are stopping of in Mobile,Alabama. I was wondering if anybody knew of any trials dealers or accessories / clothing type shops in town (know a few bars and of course Hooters but thats all I remember from last time).any info would be appreciated. Missing Christmas and New Year with the family so soem trias related retail therapy may help

I would like to hear your ideas on how to get this sport to grow?

After hearing about Eric Storz's accident I've been rethinking my opinion of a full face helmet for trials. I'm mostly concerned about my young nephew who is just starting out in the sport. I saw Eric and some other young riders wearing full face helmets in competition this year but I never thought to find out what kind they were. Does anyone know or have any opinion on this subject?

I'm selling my 2006 Gas Gas 200 and I need to ship it across the country. How should I go about doing this? I'm looking for the cheapest possible way. Thanks!

Goodmorning everyone. We should have fair coverage (with photos) on the TTC National this weekend. Weather is perfec. it's going to be in the upper 80's or low 90's by mid-day. Last night a decent thunderstorm rolled through the mountain ridge, which may or may not have a effect on today's sections. We'll see.

After a so- so 1st round in Spain some of us wondered if maybe far too many quality events were missed for an American kid to be in the mix,but after a quick week of adapting Pat and his wonderminder put them right in the hunt . All I can say is WOW and all other superlative words you can think of. I challenge EVERY North American TRials fan to spend a minute and shout out with a huge Sherco thumbs up for them to go out and rock and roll the Junior class Sunday . Hi Glenn, Hi steve, I have a good (erm lady!) friend of mine moving to the US of A to work in Michigan for at least a year or so. She will only sell me her Coach (motor) if I find out where she can ride in and around Troy. (Another Auto Engineer.!!!) The Central Arizona Trials (CAT) put on a first class National this past weekend. Great organization, terrain and section were tops, only 4.5 hours from LA, cool 70 deg days and occasional thunderstorms, I thought I was in Colorado. BUT..... the turn out was low. Only 65 riders. It would be good to know why turnout for western Nationals is low. Please give us your opinion. Martin

As a new participant in vintage trials events, I have really caught a bug. I truly look forward to upcoming events as a kid would look forward to Christmas. As my thirst for riding trials grows, I look for more events (within a reasonable driving distance). I have been interested in making it out to some AHRMA events but was alarmed to hear that AMA and AHRMA may be at odds. Has anyone else heard this or are the conspiricists pulling my leg? If AMA was to split, would AHRMA lose it's insurance (which is why I pay my AMA membership)?

It has been over 15 years since this competition has been hosted by RITC, and on the last week of July, they will once again welcome the best trials riders from all over the globe. This event marks the 40th Anniversary of the Grand Prix USA via our "Wagner Cup" here in Rhode Island back in 1975!

I know this is a loaded question but I am trying to make a decision on what to go with for a good protection helment. I currently have an older MX style full face but the visor gets in the way of looking down the trail or section so I can only see about 10 or 15 feet in front of me. Taking the visor off helps but it is heavier that the half helments and open face that I see guys using. I tried an older style Bell RT but the design inteferes with the back of my neck and pushes the helment forward into my field of vision when standing and looking down the trail even without the visor. Now that I know Cam 2 has entanol in it I am considering coating the inside of my plastic tank. Any thoughts on whether it would help protect the inside of a plastic tank from the damaging effects of the entanol with one of the tank coatings that are available? The only one I saw was from KBS but it is for metal tanks. Does anyone know of one that works on plastic tanks? Has anyone had success with this? Thanks, Bob

Its too hot to ride, so as a brand disloyalist, I though i should create controversy by declaring which brand is best, I am a poor "intermediate" level rider that has owned late model versions of most brands....so here goes: 4. Scorpa....nice bike, but heavy. Rides like a chopper ("raked-out" feel) and built like a tank...you never check for broken parts after a crash because nothing ever breaks. 3. GasGas...nice bike...very light. Rides a bit "jittery"...nice power...smooth shifting (but also lots of tranny failures in our club). When you crash...you do check for broken parts....and you do find some. 2. Beta...nice bike...kinda a hybrid between the heavy/slug…

Hey everyone Well the womens event is finished & our girls finished today in 8th position. They were a little dissapointed & struggled having only 2 riders & we certainly missed not having *Louise. Without the 3rd rider you just cannot make any mistakes as every point counts. But they did their best and finished smiling & looked good in their matching (TUCKER ROCKY SPONSERED) gear. We walked the mens sections today and most of them we are capable of (18 total). There are 2 in particular that appear to be separators and are Big.
