USA Trials Reviews & Previews

I was told the Rose City event will be expanding the riding grounds from last year. Last years event was great! The riding grounds are unlike any other event in MOTA's circuit and the club took advantage of laying out very nice sections (off-camber, side hills, river-beds) "old school" style. With the high gas prices the two day event is nice. Now, I just have to talk my knee into it. Can we arrive Friday evening with trailers?

I am getting really excited about The MOTA riding season to begin. But I need to practice, So to narrow down my "training". I assume the first one is gonna be muddy, spring gotta love it. Sam, What type of terrain does your club have? Hills? Flat land? Tight turns? "Stadium" type sections? OH yea and how much snow you got right now?

Ok so I don't know about the rest of you but I am done with winter. You too huh? Well if your any where in the upper mid west you need to check out one of the first events of the season. April 4th and 5th in New Paris Indiana is going to be a blow out event. We are having a combined Michigan Ontario Trials Association and Trails incorporated event! TI lost some property and Super SAM is prepared for them to join us michiganders in what will be a great event. Last year we didn't expect 100+ riders and a couple hundred spectators but we held true and it was an awesome time. This year should be close to the same number since TI and Mota are combining forces to put …

Well I'm still here at the TTC. Sorry Cope didn't get your message till I logged on just now. Guess it wouldn't be a fair wager. Another great event!! All the kids are really progressing. In the top 15 & under class it was a three way battle between Eric Storz, Karl Davis Jr. & David Mizell with each one of them winning one of the days. In the end Karl won the championship. As a side note the top three riders where all on 125's. In the 13 & under class Chase Harker easily won his 6th title in a row. Hi all, I am considering a fun trials at my place late in November or early December. Idea is to have a fun (peer scored) event run under the Scottish Gate Trial Format. (You WANT more points - not less!) Mota riders! Well I have been thinking (ut oh) and thinking and thinking about the Bentfenders trials. We have laid out a couple of sections. We have ridden the poo out of them. We tweeked we consulted. We tweeked some more. We ran out of tape. We used some other tape. We mowed. Then we went out and rode some more. We are looking forward to a fun event. What a great day we had today! 90+ riders, fantastic weather, great sections for morning & afternoon riders, and Pat Smage, too! The quarry was jumping with riders from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, Tennesee, Kansas, Oklahoma, & Texas (the pits were packed!). The annual bike launch went off smoothly as did dinner, too. Tomorrow promises more of the same. Dale Malasek brought the 2010 Gas Gas for everyone to see and it was nicely priced, too. If you couldn't make this year's event mark your calendar for next year! We are having Event #1 of our three part Magic Racing Enduro-X series on Saturday June 7 in Rose City MI. Format is Run What Ya Brung! Trials bikes, Harleys and off road bikes welcome. No Mini's or quads. Classes are divided into skill levels A-B-C. Practice begins at noon. First Heat race is at 2:00 pm Finals should end around 7:00pm. Here are two links for more info. Just A reminder 3D Trials club next event october 5,2008 at Hunter Mtn,N.Y.This is a brand new site for us and is truly a world class venue.If you have never been to this area it is very nice.They have held many world class events here.From world cup mountain biking to ski and snowboard events.Terrain is very poen and lots of big gripppy rocks and many boulder feilds.There is a Octoberfest going on the same day plus there will a BMW demo of there motogp bikes you can try up one of the ski slopes.They also have the chair loft open for site seeing and for the crazy down hill mountain bikers.Lots of good motels and resterants in the area.Hunter Mtn, web site www.huntermtn.c…
