Bike is a 2018 TXT 300 pro and I ride closer to sea level 90% of the time. I'm on my fourth tank of fuel and used up most of some leftover Motul 710 2t mixed at the manual recommended 67:1. Seemed to run great without excessive smoke other than a bit a pig to start compared to any other bike I've owned(plan to try a few recommended tactics) Considering trying Motorex Cross power 2T or Maxima K2 next which are readily available in the area. Motul 800 would likely be overkill and has a much higher flashpoint. Not sure about stretching Motul 710 to 80:1 which sounds lean on oil. hi iv drained my gearbox oil for the first time but im unsure on how much i need to put back in.there's a little window on the side of the gearbox but can't see any markers to indicate where u fill it up to. any help would be appreciated tom

My bike came with an NGK type R plug in it. Does anyone know the difference to a standard BP5ES? What plugs are you all using?

Hey all Just been talking to my brother and he has seen a 2001 Gas Gas TXT 321 for sale. He is seriously tempted to buy it if the old ball and chain will allow him. I was just wondering if anyone could tell us what the bike is like to use and maybe some information about it? Also how much is it worth and what to look out for when buying one 2nd hand? I took my TXT Pro apart to get the broken frame tab welded, and I'd like to see if I can clean up the spaghetti mess that's the current wiring. I searched around and couldn't find a wiring diagram for the bike. Does anyone have one or can point me to where I can find something useful? Thanks. DC

What is it with gasgas! Why do they not fix there weak boxes! I was out on my 08 125 today and hopped up onto a fallen tree which was undercut by about 2 feet. So obvisioly you would hit the sump and rock of the other side. I was not hitting it hard at all and was being very carefull not to hit it harshly. In fact it barely felt it because the rear wheel had left the ground due to the technique used. So I rocked of in 1st gear and headed down hill and there is a loudish grinding noise but only in 1st gear it does not go with clutch in. But it's only when moving (anything more than standstill) I took it back and cleaned it and changed the gear oil and there was loads of …

Any tips on getting a new rear tyre to seat on the bead? I can't get the air to catch the tyre and pop it onto the rim.

Hi All I have naturally ran the spark plug in my 2005 txt pro 250 that came with the bike NGK BPR6ES, after looking at the manual online i have noticed this says run BPR5ES. I know the difference is heat range but should I use the 5?. Also could this be the reason for a smoky bike ( even with a fully cleaned system, running good fuel with low mix). Thanks!

i am 6 foot 4 and wondering if it would help over standard gg bar. anyone else had any benefit from a higher bar

'03 200 Pro. No start. Stripped and cleaned carb. Trimmed back plug wire and reinstalled boot. Big FAT blue spark. Plug gets wet after a few kicks. New NGK BPR5EIX Removed flywheel/rotor...key intact, no slippage. Checked stator ground. Exhaust gummy, but not clogged. Checked reed cage (long shot)...no broken petals. Not even a POP. Nada. Zippo. Bupkis. Not even with ether. Fuel...air...spark...timing... Am I missing something? WTF. I swear, I'm getting ready to part this thing out.

Wow, what a difference. So different that i initialy lost my balance just slow turning. Need to retune my body movements to match the new characteristics. All the lively snatchyness is gone, it'll pull you forward on tick over without that "teetering on the edge of stalling" feeling. I hope this reduces the my nervous clutch covering affliction. It remains to be seen if it adversly affects that effortless front wheel lift for getting over logs etc. Glad i had a dremmel, rattle gun and loctites available during fitting though.

Hi again, I noticed the chain was very slack the other day, I have the user manual which is as clear as mud, it says I should have 2cm of play near the tensioner, where abouts?

Hi, Can anybody tell me where it is possible to get settings for Carb for 2007 TXT Pro 300 Settings? The Gas Gas Manual doesn't have much detail! I think it might not be running quite as good as it should be. The idle seems a little low (which alone is an easy fix if i can find the right screw!) but it seems a little smokey and it takes alot of kicks to get it started. I've checked the plug and it seems a little oily. The most annoying thing is how difficult it is to get it started though. The spark plug gap is about 0.7-0.8mm but i notice on the NGK website they state it should be 0.5mm. Would this make a big difference? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

just got my water pump back from the shop whith new shaft and seal. i drained the gearbox oil and put the pump back on. then i topped up the coolant and put new oil in. rode around for a minute or two and the oils now gone cloudy! my question is... is this just the leftover oil that never came out or has the pump got another leak. is it still ok to use it like this if its just the leftover oil thats made it cloudy? dont really wont to change the oil again as thats £6 wasted! the bikes an 08 125 Gas Gas thanks ben

Could someone please give me any advice on starting my 280 txt 03 gas gas? I've heard people saying that they can be a pain to start.. It can be so bad that I leave it running the whole trial sometimes!

When I got my new TXT280, is wasn't a sweet experience. Here are my problems - Exhaust pipe was both dented and bended so the rear-wheel hit the exhaust. I got a new pipe, and had to change the mountings so it didn't hit the rear-wheel. - The water-cooler broke the first time I wanted to check the water level. A new one solved the problem. - Electrical wire joint were destroyed, because it was put so the rear-suspension hit it. It is now repaired and the joint is situated a more safe place. - I just discovered that the brake-pipe it also hitting the rear suspension! I is very hard, I don

I have a 2007 TXT Pro and have a no spark issue. I have checked the usual earths, kill switches, spark plug new, cap new, still no luck. I have downloaded the Ducati ele diagram but no values on it. The Kokusan diagram has the values but not sure its the same for Ducati . As Im in Slovakia I cant take it to a specialist in UK until October. Does anyone know the resistance and voltage values to check the stator and trigger coil. Then if its not the stator has to be cdi or volt regulator.
