Gas Gas

Hi guys , I'm suffering with the usual clutch drag and very difficult to find neutral especially from cold. Haven't had the bike long so want to give it all fresh changes. It's recently had new clutch plates before I bought it too. Done a little research and so far I can make out that ATF dextron 3 is what Gas Gas recommend? What oil do you use in yours and any tips to reduce the drag would be great! Thanks in advance

  2. I am getting a 2010 300 Pro next week and would like to get either the low compresion head insert or the head spacer kit. Is there a differance between the two? Which one am I better off with? Would I be better off with a flywheel weight instead of going the compression reducer route? Thanks

I've been looking at a bike for sale that has no title or MSO, and his current owner got it from a friend who got it who knows where... The owner thinks it's a 2001 200 TXT. Which is what the VIN would support: VTRGG 1602 1201 **** According to this thread and this VIN decoder this does identify it as a European / Spanish / Gas Gas / 160cc / from 2001. Now... when looking at the picture, it's clearly a TXT Pro frame and engine: So I am trying to figure out what's going on? And what model it could be and what model year this really is. The frame and engine are clearly TXT Pro (2002 and later) which would rule out the 2001 model year.…

I have a 2013 Gas Gas TXT Pro Racing with the flanged rear tubeless rim. I change my rear tire regularly but it seems that I am always in a hurry and never take the time to correctly inspect my rim when I do it. Well I have been having a slow pressure leak in the rear recently that became worse yesterday so I took the rear wheel off the bike and hunted for air leak with my bottle of soapy water. Turned out that there was some small rocks embedded between the rim and tire and most of the air was coming through there. But there is also a very small leak at the valve level (at the interface rim / valve). Is the tubeless valve on these rims the same as the au…

I want to buy my first trials motorcycle but in my country the choices are closes to NONE- The only decent bike i could find is a GAS GAS 250, year 1998 in mint condition, (the owner doesnt know wich the exact model is, but according to the pics its a TXT 250) Im new to the sport and I understand the bike will surpass me. But as it may be the only bike ill have for a long time i want to know if theres anything on the bike that may limit or difficult my learning curve or performance I mean, theres anything wrong with the bike compared to todays …

My frame recently broke either side of the rear shock (the bent tubular peices) on my 08 pro, does anyone know if this can be welded and will it be strong enough? if not, how much would I be looking at for a new 08 frame or 09 frame as a rough guide? All the best Tom

My 2004 280 Pro has a burnt out rectifier. Is there a common part available to replace this that is less costly than the GasGas part? Part number is MT300534009 (black socket) which replaces BT280434107 (blue socket). Ducati ignition.

Hi everyone, does anybody have any advice to make the clutch lighter ( easier to pull in )on my TXT Pro 250. The bike is 2005 model , the clutch is working fine with no problems but it would be nice if it was a little lighter like the newer models, any ideas ?

I recently got a gas gas txt pro 250 07.. First of all the crank base gasket needs replacing as it is leaking and also sucking in air so the bike is running like crap I have ordered the parts required including all o rings ect... My main problem is my gearbox breather pipe is syphoning out oil from the gear box as if it has pressure in it. I know this because when I loosen off the top filler bolt to the gearbox it then doesn't rise anymore.. What's strange too is the crank base seal doesn't seem to spit as much black fuel and carbon out and the exhaust smoke is clear and runs better.... Could just be coinsedence as I did change the fuel and mix today etc.. I should sa…

Just picked up a new to me 05 Gas Gas TXT Pro 300... Few questions... I just noticed it has a blown base gasket (cyl base) on the left side... Is this common? its a VERY low milage bike still has original tires on it with decent tread left. what is involved in changing the base gasket? same as any other 2 stroke, or are there extra parts etc in there? Does the CD that comes with the bike have torque specs (dont have it with me right now or id check) if not where to I obtain torque specs for the bike (cyl nuts etc).. thanks guys -Dave

Each time I maintain my trial motor I notice how some parts take a lot of extra time to clean or need early replacement. I use my GG 2007 as an example here, but newer models and also other makes are suffering the same issues. I'm sure other riders will have similar issues. It looks like that the manufactures are more concerned about the colour scheme of their next model than trying to handle these bad designs. I know this is delicate subject but I couldn't resist to ask for opinions. 1. airbox: very important to keep clean, but very time-consuming to do. What a joke is this 'valve' at the bottom? And the 2 studs inside that cover the screws of it? All these corners,…
