Been riding trials for few years and I m about to fit a thumb Throttle in one of my bikes! if anyone has positive input to offer like, technical data : stroke length of the regular domino throttle and etc, would be appreciated!!. prob a lot of folks will laugh, but that's usual in a narrow minded sport such trials! the idea behind the thumb throttle is simply to find out if I can benefit of better acceleration control, specially right after a big splatter or zap. when I put my body back to lower the front end, I tend to hold that throttle open and I've been trying to correct that for while. I'm relatively new to trials. I am going to move to a newer model bike and being a yamaha mx fan, I'm wondering why Scorpa bikes don't seem to be as popular as others with the pros. Is the bike ok and the other companys spend more to sponsor pros, or is their a problem with Scorpa?

Hello all. Fairly new to this Trials business. I mainly race Enduro or Motocross, but i have a few mates who take their Trials pretty seriously. After much trying, they talked me in to buying a trials bike. Their reasons being that they claim it would help improve my balence for Enduro and general bike skills. This is a new situation for me and for Trials Central and has been a difficult one to deal with which has left me with an extremely sour taste regarding my involvement with the sport. Recently a UK-based dealer was discovered hiding in these forums under a false name pretending to be a satisfied customer and directing people to his own business. By pretending to be a third party he was falsifying recommendations which is in my opinion, fraudulent behaviour. However, it was dealt with and the dealer was banned from the forums. Hello, I'm about to buy a brand new trials motorcycle and I need some advice. First, here's my experience... 2 years ago I've bought a brand new AJP Enduro Pro 240cc (4T), my first motorcycle. I was intending to do some hard-enduro training, but to be honest I ended up riding it mostly on trails with some hills climbing here and there. Even before buying it I was looking at all the things the pros are doing, like jumping over ditches, riding over logs... I never got to try all those. To be honest I lacked confidence. I have to say i am paranoid about losing my car keys whilst out riding. Up to now they usually get left by the wheel of my car but looking at brightly coloured dry bags and lanyards. Any other suggestions or am i the only one that worries about this?

I have just purchased a bike from a dealer (which I will refrain from disclosing who for now) and stupidly didn't look at the vin on the frame till I got it home, now I know this is totaly stupid and I'm kicking myself now as I should & do know better. Anyway the problem is the vin is hardly visible and looks like its been filed off!!! The frame is black but the patch where the vin number is now silver metal but not a tidy square and looks dodgy. Has anyone else got a black frame? And is the vin num in black or a silver patch? There was no v5 as I was told its never been road registered. Thanks Sparky

R2's got some pics of a trial in Northern China, seems pretty hard. Be afraid. If the chinese take to trials they'll rule it. Imagine trials bikes coming out of China. Hopefully they'll be better than some of the rubbish they're putting out for the road.

I wish to turn my Michelin tubeless rear tyre on my SY175, how do mere mortals break the seal tried putting wheel in my bench vice nearly but the jaws are not deep enough, other than that do you need to take it to a Tyre shop?

Hey guys, Ive always wanted to give trials a try but with my location the bikes very rarely pop up(in Mississippi and grew up in Louisiana). That said I competed in the Redbull TKO on an electric bike(surron light bee) and finished the race. I sold that bike and planned on getting another more capable electric bike but it sold before I could get it so it got me thinking since I have the money looking into a nice trials bike to really hone in my hard enduro skills. just wondering what you guys use for breaking the bead of the rear tyre?? I have used a bench vice and the corner of a step and jump on the wheel, niether of which are particularly good for the rim. I came across These which look pretty good, but wouldn't a G-clamp do the same job???? looking for something ultra portable.

My current bike is a 1972 Montesa Cota 247, it needs at least a top end rebuild and thereafter paint, tidying up and TLC. It's the first bike I brought after a 30 year break from trials my last one was a TL125s. Having ridden it a few times I reckon it's worth a proper rebuild and then kept for high days and fun. I'm therefore thinking of getting a more modern bike, one that's reliable and can be used every week, not need major maintenance and sensible enough for a complete wobbler like me to use. I'm on a budget (£1600). Any advice on what to get?

Hi All, I may possibly come across as a bit crackpot here, but bear with me... Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences of electric trials bikes (apart from kids/ OSET bikes)? Without letting on too much, I am seriously considering a development of a full-sized adult trials bike with Electric power? Why the heck would I want to do this? As I get older I think I worry more..I've had a few silly, little get-offs recently. I think kharma may have something in store for me in the near future. I'm not saying that a bar plug on this guy's *R2w Find * throttle could have helped..but...what do you think about the subject..any experiences?
