Would a trials bike fit in the back of a Peugeot Partner van. its only to carry one bike. cheers

Hi there - I'm looking for a Transit Connect to replace my Berlingo. Does anyone know if the SWB version would take two bikes, if not what about the LWB? Cheers

Just wondering if anyone has tried to get a trials bike (or 2 preferably) in the new (2018 on) Peugeot Rifter Long or the Citroen (new Berlingo) or Vauxhall (Combo Life) 7 seat equivalent? I've got a Doblo at the moment but want something a bit more car like and modern that can be used as a family car, while also being longer. I had a quick measure in one yesterday and it should work (just - roof is lower than Doblo but 7 seat version can take a full size trials bike lengthways no problem (6th & 7th seats removable). Just looking for real world feedback before taking the plunge and realising my measuring is off! Thanks.

Im looking at getting a bike from yorkshire somewhere but I no longer have a van, just a saxo hatchback. I was wondering if with the passanger seat and back seats completely out, would a bike fit in with the front wheel off? Theres no way I can pick one up.getting one from a shop delievered to me up here in cumbria bumps up the price too much as the bikes are a little more to start with from traders..so I was looking at going myself to buy private not knowking anything about the bikes really....so risky........ suggestions please

The bike rack didn't go to well with the new car, time to invest in a single bike trailer. Any recommendations for a low cost new or second hand trailer manufacturer or supplier? Dave Cooper makes one that seems good value, has any one got any experience of their trailers?

Has any of you lot got one of those trailers where the bike sits on its sump over the axle,and the front wheel sits ina slot on the a frame?My missus is giving me grief for parking my trailer out side the house,i think if i modify it,it will be smaller and lighter and will fit in me garage.If someone could post a pic, that would be great. Hi all, just wondering on whats the best small van out ther in terms of running costs, needs to carry one bike and have 3 seats at the front , in the region of 2 to 3 grand , thoughts anyone ta.

Hows everyone go about fastening their bikes to the trailers? I am slightly worried about the amount of pressure I seem to have to put the straps under to secure it and remove most of the suspension sag? At the minute I send a strap through either side of the Fork lower crowns and then one from each side of the frame above the foot pegs to fasten the back down. Ive being thing of building a sump stand for the bike and strapping it too that, but then I guess the bike has no cushion from the suspension? Cheers

Hi All, Does anyone know if it is possible to get a trials bike inside a Land Rover 110 hard top? I've looked at dimensions and it appears marginal, so I'd welcome feedback from anyone that has actually tried it. Thanks, Neil

Tempted to get one of the wheelchair adapted vehicles for trials transport. They're probably better looked after than vans.Does anyone use one. This may be more practical for me than a van. All comments welcome. Picture would be great.

Hello all, my appologies for dwelling on the quite boring subject of bike transport but on my last post i was looking at a Citroen Berlingo van. Well this purchase didnt happen for reasons too boring to mention. Anyway i am looking for a smallish van, something that isnt too huge to use for everyday transport as i dont require a van for any other reason. The thing is i dont want somthing so small that it is the equivalent of that Laurel and Hardy sketch where Olly tries to fit his eloped wife into an Austin 7 (i think). OK Here is my conundrum: due to vehicle movements, leases etc..... I will not have a pickup in the near future. I know of someone who pulls a 3 place motorcycle trailer quite successfully with a Mazda Miata. I have a 1985 Toyota MR2 (Fun Car) I am looking for suggestions on the possibility of transporting my trials bike with it. For those not familiar with this car it is a MID-Engine 4 cylinder street legal go-kart. I am hesitant to use a trailer due to the front end already being light with no engine up there. More weight in rear = lighter front = less ability to steer. Was thinking more along the lines of a rack of some sort. Not too many places in the rear to a…

Can anyone tell me how they find trailers as oppossed to using vans or racks to cart around a trials bike. I was looking at a van but am now wondering if a trailer would be a cheaper option though i would like to know how secure they are and how easy they are to tie down. Also i dont like the look of my new trials bike all exposed to the eliments and possible catastrophies of other drivers hitting it but perhaps i am being a bit fairy about it all. The cost of a trailer against a van is cheaper but, being short and low it looks a bit difficult to reverse etc should i have to. Any feedback would be appreciated. We have bought a van to transport the Vertigo. Does anybody have any recommendations for wheel chocks or a way to hold the bike. We did look at one that holds by the foot pegs but aren't sure it works with Trials Bikes. Its called the MX Lock and load. Anybody used it or anything like it?

Hello all, can anyone tell me if a trials bike fits into a Citroen Berlingo van, i dont expect to be able to ride it in of course but can it be positioned inside without taking bits of the bike? The reason i ask is that i have noticed a very good deal on a nice one that is local to me. I can not take a bike round to try it as i am currently without one & will buying one next month. I have looked at load space but what i need is for someone to be able to tell me that knows as you cant beat good first hand advice, cheers Andy.

Does anyone know the rough tank range of a 250 (ish) pure trials bike? I know its a bit of a piece of string question but could you get twenty miles out of it? or is it a 5 miles of pootling round type thing? Thanks

Can’t see how I’m going to fit a Dave cooper rack on my Range Rover sport, they only have a tow ball not a Flat back plate to bolt on to? cheers Rich

Chaps, Just about to fit a towbar so I can get the bike on a bike rack...the lad fitting it has said that including bike and rack, weight shouldnt be any more than 75KG... Bike weighs about 65-70Kg and the rack I have is one that somebody made themselves, nice rack but on the heavy side... In total reckon gonna be well over the 75KG... Is this something I need to be concerned about or not??? Thanks for any input.

Anyone got any idea who offers Bike insurance that will cover the bike for use in road trials as well as general use ?
