OK folks, being off work for a week (mandatory holiday shutdown) I had time to complete the fiber plate modification document. This makes the clutch progressive, eliminates drag, cold stick, slip and reduces lever pull (if you leave two springs out). And the best part... It's free (if you already have the files and Dremel polishing wheel) Yes it will cost you some time but hey you're working on your bike. That's still quality time compared to working on the car. The PDF came out over 10Meg so if you don't have a high speed connection it may take a bit. Sorry but the pictures are necessary. Enjoy Andy Edit: File optimised and size reduced to 1.8MB Clutch_Fix.pdf …

Hi I am picking up my new rev3 on Friday and was just wondering if they still have the problem of the float not closing the inlet for fuel of soon enough and pouring fuel out the overflow or has beta fixed it? cheers

Seen this yet? http://www.trialscentral.com/cms/showartic...?articleID=2645 It looks like Beta will soon be selling a 4 banger, will it be a borrowed engine from the likes of KTM or will it be a completely new home-grown motor? New frame with a separate fuel tank or built in as now? When will it be on sale? Out in time for the SSDT maybe? How much will it cost and more importantly, will it match the Mont in terms of solid build and reliability? I reckon it will as they've taken their time and not rushed the bike out like Sherco did for the SSDT in 04 (or was it 05?) Can't wait to see some piccy's

My 300 arrives end of this week. Anyone got theirs yet? I see Steve Saunders just got one which was ridden and reviewed by Heath (R2W) on Sunday, and he rates it highly. Post your pics, reviews, tips and mods here.

The new bike has suddenly learned a new trick popping out of first and second gear into neutral. Not real happy about this. Guess I’ll be looking into the shifter mechanism now.

I currently own a Beta EVO. On occasion I ride other ppls bikes and I cannot understand why Beta is not using the 40mm Marzocchi forks along with its mating shock that GG is using? The 38mm Paioli forks just plain suck compared to the 40's. If you don't believe me, go ride a bike with the Marz on them before you comment. So, is the choice solely a manufacturers choice (Beta) or is there some type of legalities that would prevent Beta from using a superior fork & shock? Beta uses basically a ZERO adjustable suspension set-up compared to it's competitor who uses a fully adjustable suspension (dampening & Rebound on both the fork & shock).

Here is my new project/hobbie to keep me busy with. I have been using my mates bikes when ive been doing trials recently. He has a 125cc gasgas and a 200cc beta evo. I have been looking at a few bikes, but most were in need of a lot of work so i uped my budget and purchased one this saturday (17th December), its a 2009 beta evo 250cc. It is in really good condtion as it should be only being a few year old. My plans are to give it a good clean up and service. Im also planning a few different modifications for it to. I know its a trial bike and its going to get scratched but that still doesnt mean i cant make it look nice. Here is my first update on the trials bike. …

My 09 290 EVO uses the BR7ES plug. Maybe four months ago i changed the plug for the first time since new due to a rough runing low rpm range. After inspection of the plug i noticed that it was begining to foul due to oil contamination. The engine ran like new with the new plug. It is begining to run rough again at low rpm. I used to run the standard plug gap which i think is .024-.026? Im not sure at the moment unless i go look at the owners manual. A freind recomended that i set the plug gap to .020 for better bottom torque. Im thinking that this smaller gap setting is causing the plug to foul. It's the only thing that i have changed in the combustion process. What do y…

I have a 2016 300 with the standard pipe and muffler. I have adjusted the jetting and it runs great with one exception. Occasionally, when opening the throttle from idle it will stall. It does not pop through the intake but instead you hear what sounds like fuel burning in the exhaust. It sounds very similar to a gas barbecue being lit. This happens at lower idle settings, below 1200 rpm. At higher settings up above 1400 it does not happen. Is this rich or lean?

Hi everybody So a short intro about the build, I´ve been into motorcycle trials since I first got to ride a GasGas TXT300 at a motorcycle fair. I was hooked but at first it felt pretty hopless, because at that time it wasn´t really a thing in Estonia and the only second hand bikes were still almost new and there was like 2 in the market all together. I didn´t have that much money so I thought how hard could it be to start from scratch. This was 2009 and found an engine from UK (thanks ebay) the bloke was nice enough to send it to Estonia, and well... it was from a 85´ Beta TR32. At that time I really didn´t thing about spares and stuff like that, because, again, the…

I currently ride a 2009 Beta 290 Evo. I like the bike, but i have had to to make modifications to the suspension beyond simple adjustments that Beta built into the suspension. I have learned by talking to many trials riders that most trials riders dont put too much emphisis on their suspension setup. Most of them seem to only be concerned with adjusting the spring preload and other than rebound speed dont concern themselves much with the action of the hydrolic control thats built into the dampers front and rear. I am far out of the design envelope in terms of physical size "250lbs" and since Beta seemed to have targeted the OEM suspension setup for somone who weighs 160lb…
