So did anybody try the bike at the dirtbike show or are you all sworn to secrecy?

I've just moved onto a Sherco with Keihin PWK carb, from a GasGas with Dellorto. I'm finding the throttle very light on the Keihin and a bit easy to wind on too far! Does anyone know if there is a stiffer spring available? Or perhaps a spring that could be coerced to fit? I've had a search but not found anything that mentions being stiffer. In reality I probably just need to get used to it, but I reckon I'll scare myself less with a throttle more suited to a heavy-handed user.

Got a copy at the SSDT and just finished. Certainly enjoyed it very candid. Some real eye openers for me, the Honda/Montesa 4rt and the Wheelie parts in particular. The whole book is full of humour , certainly worth the £20 even by the exacting standards of a tight Yorkshireman (Londoner?)

  5. Sorry if this is the wrong section, but I thought this subject is not specific to one make of bike and would get more chance of getting a reply in this section. The new style Braktec monobloc brakes have two covers on the front face (as seen in the attached photo), which look like Torx, but the size of Torx wrench has me stumped, on where to get that size. Anybody else removed these covers, what tool did you use please? Thanks for your assistance. Cheers

Does anyone make polypropylene or polyethylene full length fork guards? I think the carbon fiber looking ones are ABS and they break way too easily.

According to CEO Stephan Pierrer, KTM is looking into developing a trial bike in the next two years. I for one, am very curious what they come up with.

Hi just wondering what new bikes people reccomend the most, I currently have a 2017 gas gas 280 but looking to get something new towards the end of the year but no idea What, I would get a new gas gas 300 but a mate of mine has just bought one and is having problems with it bogging out etc, I like the look of trs but have another mate with one that the throttle got stuck on and it went bang and he's had lots of trouble getting parts for it, I don't really like the look of vertigo and think there way overpriced. What's people's opinions? I'm a white route rider and I ride most if not all weekends, I've ridden beta and gas gas myself, I much prefer the feel of my gas gas bu…

binding front brake is now stripped and cleaned. caliper body looks fine, pistons look good too but seals are now pretty chewed up. does anybody know where to buy just the seals? seems they are 25mm and guessing 2.5 mm thick epdm rubber. thought they would be easy to get but no luck so far. seems mean but its nearly £30 for whole kit with new pistons which i dont need. thanks.

Got in touch with sandifords again for an update on the Mecatecno T18 , due out in June. But seems Sandifords have ceased working with Mecatecno, so is there another UK importer.

Interesting question came up at todays Midland Classic MCC trial. If your engine stops in a section, is it a straight five even if you can roll or push out. I've known trials where it is, and my brother once lost an event due to this rule, but does this apply to AMCA trials?????

Dear all, Rear brake pedal has no feel and just doesn't do anything. I have tried all possible ways to bleed the rear brake system but I can't get to remove the air bubbles (or at least what it seems to be the issue). Have tried normal bleeding as in pushing the pedal several times and when holding it down opening the bleed nipple but no luck - air is getting out but it's never enough. Tried pressure bleeding and even vacuum bleeding as well using a syringe and a piece of transparent pipe and also no luck one thing i noted when vacuum bleeding was that air bubbles did disappear slightly but kept on coming like it's getting air from somewhere. What could this be? Any…

I normally use fully synthetic Castrol ‘racing’ mixed at 80mil of oil to a gallon of fuel. I accidentally bought castrol 1 (not racing) is this still ok to use? It’s a 12 beta evo! Thanks.

What fork seals are you guys using? My mate said he had a set of pyramid seals fitted and they lasted 4 rides ? I think I had all balls ones fitted in my last bike but sold the bike not long after fitting so don’t really know how good they were?
