  1. Stop to masterfully catch your balance, giving the crowd a thrill?....why that's arguably worse than an Endurocross rider doing that (think about that - one "five" and a trials rider can drop a few places in the standings, but an Endurocross rider who stops dead or just a split-second would hardly ever drop in the standings, of course.) Use all the skills you possess to jump the bike magically sideways 3 times, to heroically save a dab?....fugetaboutit! MotoGP riders can't do that, so why should we let YOU? We WANT to take the sport back to the 1960's, when nobody had all these fancy-shmancy "skills" they have today. "Evolution of the sport"?....we certainly don't want …

I see that the FIM have changed some world round dates. I can understand the change to the Japanese round(s) - the poor souls affected by the quake/tsunami need every help they can get. But why reduce Fort William to just a single day? Last year's two day event was spot on, considering the travelling most folk had to undertake. I'm sure the traders in Fort William appreciated the business. I expect L+M events are a trifle unhappy. I don't wish to speak out of turn but the future viability of such an event surely hinges around the original business plan (ie income over two days, publicity for sponsors over two days, etc) and it's as if the FIM are not fussed about …

Congrats to Dibs on a well earned 6th place in Spain. Clearly not an easy trial and was well ahead of previous rivals to put a claim in for a top rider!! Seems to be going from strength to strength, clearly the talent is there and a bit more experiance of the big time wtc rounds and he is turning into a contender. He is another who seems to have adapted quickly and very well to the monty 4rt!! Nice one , you will be making cota kid proud

Just got back from the Arena, here are some thoughts: a) The PA system seemed particularly poor this year- with about 10% of what was said perceivable Perhaps in part because of a) but also because of poor commentary "timing" the atmosphere wasn't as good as usual (even before Dougie bombed out) c) "Taddy" is a trick ferret d) Cabestany had arguably as much if not more talent at his disposal as Adam Raga, but chose more risky lines and was inconsistent, thus finished second e) Bring back the biketrial riders at half time (got to be better than "a word from our sponsor") f) Everyone moaned about Fuji not making a valid attempt at 2 of the sections, myself included,…

How is no one talking about this? https://youtu.be/FHKrK7343n0 at 02:44-02:50 you can clearly see him five the section by sliding over the marker and putting a foot down but still he manages to clean the section and trial?

Well done to the lad. I'm really pleased for him and I think having Fuji and Dougie as part of the team will help him keep his feet on the ground and not go down the arrogant route Raga did that has now bitten him firmly on Highland Lassie's favourite a**e! I am going to have some serious fun with Octagon on this one...

As detailed here Time limit cut to one minute per section (from 1.5 minutes) No walking the sections on the day Top riders no longer last to ride. Bou will be first man away in Spain I have my own thoughts on these, but what do others think?

  14. Just seen Japan, None Stop lol, it's got to be the worst decision in Trials up to date, what on earth have they done to the sport, the riders are stopping, its making it more difficult for the observers, I found myself laughing while watching, it should be called, "None Stop well just for a second or two" this is why Trials is a minority Sport, because there are too many idiots in charge making bad decisions. Progression is sometimes a backward step, this is one of those backward steps.

With mr casalas up the road to vertigo what are beta going to do for a top line gp rider? Surely a brand that probably sells more bikes than any other must need a rider to be knocking on the door of top 5?

As much as I don't want to say it the maths are stacking up against our Doug, six rounds left and he's 24 points down on Raga, fuji is 21. Its surely a 2 way thing between the top two Spaniards now isn't it? When (if ever) has there been a Spanish top 5 in the WTC??? End of an era hastened by the poor performance of the 4rt? Where would Doug Fuji and Frexia be if they were 315 mounted?

What a farce... the alleged "no-stop" world championship rules are NEVER enforced, yet for some freaky reason, an observer suddenly remembers that it is meant to be no-stop... so he docks Billy a "5" and then conveniently returns to normal mode and lets others stop... pathetic! Just watch Bou... he "stops" as often as any rider yet he is given special treatment and never gets docked a "5" for blatant halts and even reverses!!. Furthermore, in Japan this weekend, his minder was clearly seen pouring water onto a muddy rock to wash it off so "the special one" can gain an advantage though the section. That is called tampering and altering a section... in simple language,…

  19. What can be done to get the FIM to change their ridiculous new rules that handcuff trials riders (in an attempt to appease the corporate interests of the manufacturer$)? Fans not attending world rounds is one idea. Your ideas?
