In the process of changing my old boots. Anybody have any advice/ preferences? Currently thinking about alpinestars or gearne (probably the gor-tex). Would love to hear peoples views before I purchase what is one of the most expensive bits of kit to buy. ?

what kinda helmet lid do you wear? any good recommendation? I used to wear hjc and masei helmet

Currently use MX boots when riding my sherco 300, are trials boots that much different? worth getting a pair?

Is the weight of a helmet significant in trials? A lot of helmet descriptions on the supplier websites seem to make a big thing of it, but I can't see it being the most crucial factor. Fair enough if you race a car and the g-force is trying to rip your head off, but not on a bike going at a walking pace, surely. As an example the Hebo Zone 4 weights 900g, and plenty of others weigh about 950g. But the Hebo 5 with built-in visor weighs 1200g. Trouble is, I quite like the idea of a built-in visor for protecting my eyes between sections.

After trawling through all the threads about 'Which Boot' to go for I have finally decided to try out the Novogar in Nabuk/Red. I am new to trials and have obviously no preference or anything to go by, meaning i would have to make a decision on recommendations and reviews alone. Met a USAF forces guy, Sean from Ohio, this week whom works at the local airbase. I meet a few US forces guys through my job, always really friendly and interesting, great customers & a pleasure to deal with. I used to visit the US in my old job and owning lots of yank cars seems to break the ice quickly for both of us. I purchased a pair of Hebo trials boots in October, I

Hi im after a trials helmet with loads of ventilation.I sweat a lot when riding,due to getting older etc and always end up with a headache after riding.The other day i just had to stop and take it off.At the Alwinton two day someone was wearing a helmet with loads of holes in it?Can't remember the make or if it was a trials helmet?Any advice please?Thanks.

What is the difference between the Gaerne balance classic and the oiled brown leather boot? Is one better or more waterproof than the other?

Hi all. Enduro rider giving trials a go. I have large calves and can't find boots to fit. I'm a size 9 shoe, so a 10 boot. Just tried Gaerne Pro Balance, size 10 and 11(UK sizes) can't close the boots. I can get the straps closed, but theres the gap between the buckle side and strap side. Also very tight around the top with on half the velcro on. I'm not competing, just social play riding. Any ankle high boots I could use? Any recommendations welcomes. Thanks.

as some of you no iv have just got into trials, now iv got the trousers,helmet(mx one for the time being)gloves and waterproofs, how ever i havnt got any boots used to ride my pit bike in wellies. looking for some proper boots now. question is are there any differences between trials boots and mx boots? and also what can u lot recommend dont want to spend mega

Hi there, yes I'm well aware there is numerous other threads pertaining to boots. However I have not really found anything useful in my choice of new boots. I am looking for honest reviews, pro's & con's of the Sidi, Gearne, and Alpinestar brand of boots. I have so far gathered this limited amount of info (feel free to correct it, if I am misinformed). I currently wear a size 44 Gearne boot, with a wool sock and it feels like it has some slop, but I am only 16, so there is the potential for growth as well I would like to incorporate wearing seal skins on the days it requires, so I am unsure on sizing. Hi guys, looking for some advice. Im new to riding and having a struggle with my boots. I have some Novogah boots which have a stiffening/protection strip running down the back, this ends just above my heel and during 2 hours riding yesterday I managed to chafe the skin off the backs of the ankles quite badly. Any solution? I was thinking about a piece of mudflap material or something but I would imagine I'd get some more sensible suggestions on here. Thanks in advance guys.

Hi all, I have been looking for a pair of trousers to wear when riding, looking around at All big makes they all remind me of woman’s leggings! Can anyone recommend a looser fitting pair? I did think of motocross trousers but worry they wouldn’t have the stretch. Something about wearing skin tight trousers doesn’t apeal thanks
